Four West Virginia Democrats on Tuesday criticized the Obama administration's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for delaying a permit, which will result in nearly 150 lost coal mining jobs.
Sens. Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller, along with Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and Rep. Nick Rahall said they were "outraged" by the EPA's decision to delay a surface mining permit for Consol Energy. I am sorry that EPA head, Lisa Jackson’s daughter has breathing issues. Sometime life is not fair.
Just don’t make the other 99.9% freeze in the dark.
Bout time the union drilling and mining lackeys woke up; every time I drive through WV and see the KKK Byrd Hwy signs it makes me fume. Wake up!
Act like men and change parties.
U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., has supported Obamas campaign since it began.
The claims you are hearing from the McCain-Palin campaign are misleading and untrue, Rockefeller said in a news release. Barack Obama has been very clear with me and with you on his plan for clean coal and its the most aggressive plan in support of clean coal weve seen from any presidential candidate.
The idea that the McCain-Palin campaign is alleging the day before the election that Barack Obamas commitment to coal is anything but solid is absolutely ridiculous, he added.
This is exactly the kind of deceptive politicking voters are fed up with.
I wonder what Rockefeller has to say now.
