IMO, wanting Obama's help has made Christie look weak and confused as to what to do!

I would hate to know that my governor was second fiddle to Barrack Obama! But my gov has dealt with worse hurricanes than Sandy!

I don’t know why everybody is on Christie for.... He knows Obama is a low down dirty POS that if he didn’t suck up too would slow walk any help to the people of NJ....If Christie made it political...

Sometimes you got to shallow your pride and do what is right for the people put in your trust...even if it means sucking up to a worthless piece of vermin like king Zero...

Arizona could be hit a Category 8 earthquake and still no way in hell Jan Brewer for would ask for money from the communist. I have never trusted the RINO walking donut and never will.

I sorta agree with you and if I could add. Christi is a Republican in a blue state. He stated on one of the morning shows that this wasn’t about the election. That right there is powerful in the sense that he was going to do everything he could to get his state and the people whole as soon as possible.

After that, the good people of NJ will see what this Republican Governor did for them and maybe, just maybe start getting rid of the DemocRATS.

I know, wishful thinking but it might be his strategy.

Perhaps Obama gave Christie’s fat a$$ it’s very own Zip code.

If Obamas wins, I will donate money to ANY democrat that runs against that tub of lard.

I agree with you about giving Christie a pass on this one. NJ is absolutely DEVASTED.....IMO Christie is doing what he has to, to get his state all the help he can get. IF potus reached out and made himself available to get Christie the help he needs, I dont have a problem with him saying Potus has been great about it. Of course, I KNOW Potus is prob doing this reaching out for political gain, but if the end result is to get help to the people of NJ quickly, then so be it. I think the majority of people in our country already know Potus is a POS...... and I would bet my last dollar that if Potus doesnt provide the help like he says he will......Christie WILL be out there chastising him. For all the people coming down on Christie,,,,,go back and LOOK at the pictures of the aftermath of hurricane Sandy.....and ask yourself, what would you do if you were in Christies shoes? Prayers to all my fellow peeps in NJ....my heart breaks seeing the devastation.

"Is this the idea?: "Look! Obama w/Chris Christie! I like Christie & he's being NICE to Obama. Wasn't going to, but now I'm voting Obama!"

Is anyone going to vote for Obama because of a photo-op with our governor? The only one on the planet who could possibly believe that is Obama.

There are 81 days between now and Inauguration Day. Fixing the damages from Sandy is going to cost a ton of money and take years -- better to start cashing the checks today than wait for smaller checks from a fiscal conservative in January.

I wouldn't abet evil incarnate. But I guess you hold a sincere disagreement.

Thank you. I’m glad to see someone else besides myself who can look at the devastation and beyond politics in this. I’m not a big fan of Chris Christies, but I do believe he loves his job and state. I’m mostly amused by him; however, there isn’t anything funny about what he is dealing with right now and if it means getting through all the red tape to get quick funding - then he is doing his job - even if it means sort of kissing zero’s ring. He’s just overwhelmed with gratitude and people fault him for that? I don’t.

Please somebody inform me as I can’t think of a single issue where Chris Christie is conservative. I disagree with the guy on almost every stance economic or social the guy seems to represent.

The picture is hilarious.

The reference is perfect.

Perry did something a couple of years ago and Perry got no money from Bammy for the fires.

I hated seeing christie schmoozing, but that incident was in my mind, guess I thought everyone knew it.

Bammy should not act like a donor, like he’s the late p. Morgan or a Carnegie or so, but since when do the rules apply to him or his jet setting wife?

Jersey is hard hit. Not just at the shore, where folks I know aren’t talking anything about FEMA, but about who is going to house Grammy while the guys and the insurance co.s assess the next best step.

Jersey is, on the other side of the Hudson from NYC, a land of suburbs, commuters, and many and varied corporate headquarters.

Densely populated.

They’re going to need that money and Bammy lives to be schmoozed. Heck, he’s probably on such a high from it he’s taken his mind off the prize.

I don’t know what Christie’s doing, but I do know what I’ve witnessed in Bammy’s actions as Prez.

All the Blue State Republicans imagine the voters want them to say they'll do reach arounds with Democrats.

Now all your Red State Republicans think that statement is the very reason these pukes ought to be kicked out of the Republican party.

Even here in Virginia we have this annoying Romney ad on TV that tells us that Romney can work with Democrats ~ like I give a big rat's adze.

Outside of Arlington and Alexandria not even the Democrats want to vote for a Republican who says he'll be playing cozy with the Democrats in Congress!

Calling me a liar?

Are you familiar with Rita and Ike?...both stronger than Sandy.

IF it's true that obama invited himself to NY, Christie was in much more of a no-win situation than Doomberg. Mayor Nanny could get away with saying "no". He's like mclame - he's the pubbie the media loves.

Christie would have been used as an example of refusing to "reach across the aisle", and it would have done more damage to Romney than saying "come on down" to obama.

I am familiar with a tropical storm called Agnes (name since retired) that was more powerful than those two storms combined.

Don't mistake CAT, based on windspeed in the tropical winds core, with total storm strength.

Sandy was a large hurricane with a lot of water that formed in a few hours just South of Jamaica. It ran into and was absorbed by a large Nor'Easter that was in turn part of a front that extended from the tropics to the arctic! This one storm center was 1000 miles wide. Try pi r squared for territorial extant. It was UNIQUE.

Ike and Rita had nowhere near the destructive force of Sandy ~ which is still spinning BTW!

Well, Christie’s smoozing with Obama has certainly given Obama more than a full day of non-stop postive coverage by the lap dog media. I heard it all day on radio and saw it on TV the few times I tuned into TV news, even on Fox.

This was a move that could only help Obama and if Christie didn’t know that he’s a naive politician. I expect he knew it would help Obama and many will not forget it if he ventures beyond NJ politics in the future.
