Savage promo: "Americans are sitting there like a bunch of schmucks watching our Country being destroyed!" (Not sure of the last part but it was something like that. I am glad I checked the spelling on that one.)

Savage Whining about his screen like a prima donna is kinda offputting.

Sure sounds familiar.. third hour memorex it appears.

OK.. fine. But why not tell us.

Though other talk show hosts do it without giving notice. I guess it is fair to say that it's SOP. I don't listen to any recordings when the host is suppose to be there or have a fill-in.

Savage has been a bit annoying since he got back from his long break. I’m a loyal listener since 2001 so I know all about his moods and so on, but lately he has been a bit irksome for some reason. Just my opinion. When he almost started book reading the other night I was like oooh no.

I think he feels like he can’t really add much to the conversation until after the election since all the other shows are talking about it 24/7. I hope he gets back into his groove soon.

RE: "You’re sure it wasn’t live?"

I cannot say that I recall hearing the dialogue exactly but the NDAA has been a Savage topic before. I would have expected to hear new news about it like Wade Hicks, Jr. who is an outspoken critic of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and is the man trying to get to Japan to visit his wife. Partway there he discovered that he is on the "no fly" list. Apparently he flew from Travis AFB, California to Hawaii and when he attempted to fly commercial that is when he learned about it. The last I heard is he is trying to get his Mississippi Senators and congressman to help him.

I kept listening. I am sure that his discussion of his new novel was recorded.

Also, I recall that the court decision awarded him the ownership of all his TRN material so if the third hour memorex does continue he still has all that as a resource.

The fact of the matter is is that the third hour was indeed a repeat. Meet the new Savage. Same as the old Savage.
On the air one week and already he's back to his old schedule.
He's promoting a three hour live show. I'm pretty sure he mentioned a new 3 hour 'live' show during his first week of broadcasts.
The least he could do is be there for the duration. Or let his listeners know he'll be absent for the 3rd hour in advance. I figure it's near an hour of wasted time by the end of the week after having listened through the top of the hour news break and sitting through 5 minutes of trying to figure out whether he's live or not.
Maybe some of you folks enjoy listening to a repeat or canned 3rd hour but I'd rather move on to something else.
Week number 2 summary of liveness so far:

Monday - Technical problems. Less than live show.
Tuesday - Technical problems for 2 hours. Third hour 99% encore
Wednesday - I think some replay or reading of Tuesday's script during second hour. Third hour a Savage encore.
What could possibly go wrong tonight? /sarc

Complaining is really useless.

I’d rather hear Savage for 30 minutes than Hush-Vannity-Screech for 9 hours a day.

I never listen to them anymore -— talk about boring??? The HVS axis is sold out to the GOP-e, with very little original thinking.
