First year ever that I gave out no candy. Hubby didn't want the noise of hundreds of kids and the doorbell every few minutes so the lights were out. Normally, we have about 200 of them. Wasn't meant to be but, perhaps next year!

I really missed seeing all the very young in costume!

In 1803, North Carolina (not California)
was the site of first U.S. gold rush.
The state supplied all the domestic gold coined
for currency by the US Mint in Philadelphia until 1828.

The male name Gregory
is from the Greek word meaning "watchman."

Alaska has a sand desert with dunes over 100 feet high.
It is located along the flatland of the Kobuk River
in the northwestern part of the state.

The Bateleur eagle of Africa

The FR Canteen is ALWAYS

I've got work to catch up on
before it's warm enough
to go for my morning walk.
But, I'll check pings on my return.
Please stay right where you are.
Keep the troops entertained and the Canteen clean...

Good morning beachy and (((HUGS))). I had to work last night and saw several teens walking down the street wearing dark clothes doing trick or treat. Darwin award nominees for sure.

Good morning dear ((HUGS))

Like you I saw kids going trick or treat (haven’t we always had that saying backwards?) in regular clothes. IMO, they shouldn’t get goodies.

It’s shredded beef instead of ground. We used to have a cook in our unit that made the best SOS with shredded beef.
