Chuck Hagel (RINO) Set to Endorse Kerrey
Omaha World Herald ^ | Oct. 31, 2012 | Robynn Tysver

Republican Chuck Hagel is going to endorse Democrat Bob Kerrey.

That's the word from the Kerrey camp this evening, as they prepare to make a "major" announcement tomorrow.

A spokesman with Kerrey's campaign says Hagel – a former Nebraska U.S. Senator and a Republican – will back Kerrey in his race against Republican Deb Fischer.

Hagel's endorsement comes as polls have shown the race between Kerrey and Fischer tightening down the home stretch.

Hagel's backing could go a long way with independents. And, it clearly underscores Kerrey's contention that he is the person in the race who can win Republican and Democratic support.

The word I get from friends in Nebraska who are very well connected in the party is that Fisher is actually polling even better than that.

We may have the same friends. That’s the word I’m getting too. I’m hearing that Deb is perfect for these times. Nebraska’s economy is doing great so they are serious about who represents them in Washington.

No surprise. Didn’t Hagel also endorse Obama in 2008?

Yes, you have been saying that all along. And it is just as ridiculous now as the first time you said it.

Chuck Hagel can rot.

Republicans were loyal to the clown for years but he only seemed to care about himself. The clown is just doing what he can to keep the senate in the hands of the democrats. This means, that if obama wins, obama will be able to plug the supreme court for another 4 years. That branch of government will be under control of liberal dirtbags.

ehhhhh....you better rethink that. OWH poll are notorious wrong of the years.

The Pharos survey touted by Kerrey has a few “red flags”

That’s a garbage liberal media poll. Here is an internal poll released by Fischer:

“LINCOLN, Nebraska, October 27, 2012 - The Deb Fischer for U.S. Senate campaign released an internal poll today showing Deb Fischer with a commanding 55%-39% lead over Bob Kerrey.”

Kerrey is Nebraska toast.

I hope you are right. Unfortunately over the years here I have seen some posters say “that poll is liberal trash” and that poll ends up being dead on right. Angle, O’Donnell, etc, races come to mind in 2010.

Only five days left to find out who is talking trash and who isn’t.

Agreed. Incidentally, I hope you’re not implying I am talking trash, but rather the campaigns.

I’m a nervous nellie, seen too many supposed victories over the years not turn to fruition. It still burns me beyond belief we blew it so bad and Harry F’ing Reid is still in power. Unbelievable.

I love when people run to a few defeats such as Angle and O'Donnell to justify ignoring the facts.

Angle was running against a sitting majority leader in a Blue State.

O'Donnell was running in a heavily Blue State.

Nebraska is a conservative State.

How about putting some context into your thinkking.

They're "moderates".

They're the ones who worry that a conservative can't win. They spew words like "purist" and accuse conservatives of costing us seats. The reality is that they are the true purists. They hate conservatives and want nothing more than to reach across the aisle and will think nothing of voting for the democrat over a conservative.

Moderates are nothing but lying manipulative bottom feeding scum.

You miss the point, I was referencing that many people here said to ignore those polls and they were wrong back then.

I hope they are right now, but let’s also not forget that Kerrey WAS their Senator for a long time, despite Nebraska being a conservative state. That context also needs to be considered. Chuck Hagel, ALSO, was their Senator for a long time.

I think there were some people ignoring the polls but not many.

Both Angle and O'Donnell were longshots.

Kerry is old news, as is Hagel.

Nebraska hates Obamacare and want it ended.
