Catherine Herridge: State Department Culpable in Death of Ambassador & Three Americans (Video)

FOX News foreign policy analyst Catherine Herridge told Greta Van Susteren Wednesday, "From what I see the State Department has culpability in the death of the US Ambassador and three Americans."

This followed the damning memo that was released today signed by Ambassador Stevens in August and sent to the State Department. The classified cable on August 15 warned the Obama Administration that the Benghazi consulate could not withstand a "coordinated attack."

Catherine Herridge is a straight news reporter, but she can barely contain her anger and disgust over what she has learned about the State Department letting the Benghazi consulate be fed to the jihadi wolves and her realization the Obama administration flat out lied about the anti-Muslim video causing the attack.

Thanks for posting! Saw this tonight. Noticed that Katherine gave Obama credit for being incompetent on this and didn’t appear to suggest sinister movtives to what happened in Bengahzi... instead mentioning the election.

I think more sinister issues will surface, particularly with regard to why what was going on there in the first place, including who was really behind the video... see a common element in the spin below?

Yes, that seems to be what she is saying, but I see it as only and up to the night of the massacre 9/11/12, by refusing to give them more Security.

This just confirms what I have been saying for some time. In order to occupy this consulate, an interim facility that did not meet required security standards, a signed wavier had to be issued. The only people that can do that are the A/S Secretary for Diplomatic Security (Eric Boswell), the U/S for Management (Pat Kennedy), or Hillary Clinton.

I am 100% certain that this wavier exists because it is a Congressional requirement. I say this advisedly having served 28 years as an FSO and supervised post RSOs.

In the absence of answers from the White House, people will begin speculating.

I myself cannot think of any reason why someone would lower security and then flat out deny military assistance it in a situation where threats of violence are increasing... especially on the anniversary of 911 weeks before a presidential election UNLESS... this was far more than incompetence and more like an orchestrated October surprise.

A caller in to Hannity today made a very good observation that Hannity really didn’t pick up on very well.

These bozos in the white house were watching real time the events that were unfolding as these Navy Seals were requesting permission to go in and assist when they were told to stand down.

This means that observers in the white house were not content to just watch 4-5 servicemen and an ambassador be killed... they were prepared to watch at least 30 people be killed or ABDUCTED.... and the 4-5 navy seals pretty much foiled whatever plans had been laid to create a situation that Obama could manipulate and resolve right before the election.

That’s right... I think Obama actually set this thing up.

And until he is willing and able to come forth with viable answers as to what happened and why, I must assume as a matter of speculation that he had a hand in orchestrating this attack at some level... most likely by proxy.

High treason is punishable by death.

Time for Obama to start answering questions... TRUTHFULLY! or like the birth certificate issue, it will never go away.

I heard the same thing, Terry... I dig Catherine Herridge and all, but with the WH tuned in to the fire fight in Benghazi live as it happened, Zero and company beyond State are just as culpable. She shouldn’t narrow the blame to just being related to the prior requests for more security. How about more security the night it all went down?! More than State were involved with that part of the event, that’s for sure.

FYI, I think I read a few years back that CH took Fox to court, wanting a raise and the judge threw it out, saying half a million a year was more than enough. I guess she’s earning that paycheck now, though. Stay on ‘em, Cat!
