Back on Nov 3rd 2002, we have a 7.9 shaker; best one I've ever went through. Holes & faults opened up everywhere, all my furniture was over turned, wood stoves slid 15 foot across the floor, all the copper water,propane, & oil lines broke, even my well head's top blew off and I had a 6 inch geyser hitting my ceiling in the laundry room. Anyway, FEMA showed up in a couple days and everybody was glad to see them as we didn't have access to hardware to fix everything, (roads were closed for over a month,couldn't go anywhere). FEMA consists of a management force, then they borrow maintenance people from all the other fed agencies and send them to the site to help out. All the maintenance trucks from other state & fed departments did all the work. The FEMA people were hardly ever around. They did show up about a month later and had everybody fill out forms to get a loan to replace everything they lost. The loan was never to be paid back from what I heard. Wife and I were teachers at the village and only I and another one Indian family refused to fill out the forms for the handouts. The one Indian Family told all the other Indians "When did White Man ever give ya something and not take more away" ha ha, no joke. So anyway, about a month later everybody got checks for 9 thousand and bought new snowmachines. Everybody but me I guess, ha ha.
I don't get too worried about FEMA anymore, they ain't that good at what they do to begin with, all screwed up like most govt entities. And,,, if ya do have a real disaster, you sure are glad to see them get everything started at getting things fixed up and back to working order.

Also wonder why 0bama didn’t say that everything would be fine, since his private army will be swooping in the help. ?? (/s)
