Security for State Department personnel is CIA’s call...? This is the Wash-Post first foray into the subject in weeks and the premiss is 180 degrees out of phase....surprise!

Exactly right. The CIA should not have been calling the shots on this or been the lead agency. The WH should have been in charge. And Obama and Hillary should have been on the phone immediately getting the Libyan government to rush protection to the annex at a minimum. I can understand the consulate being attacked without adequate host government protection, but there is no way that almost seven hours later the annex was without host country protection. Sending 6 people from Tripoli was not adequate.

Mr. Ignatius: If I was Obama, I'd just tell you to PLEASE stop trying to "help" me with this debacle.

Your "defense" is so easily picked apart, and makes you look like a complete A$$hole.

If anything, this article raises even MORE questions about Obama's incompetence.

I never thought it would happen, but the MSM is actually hurting the One by tying itself in knots trying to defend the indefensible.

The simple explanation for that would be the whole operation was a CIA weapons deal gone bad. That's why they needed the video/protest cover story that fell apart. It's the only thing that would make any sense. Why else would Ambassador Stephens be in Benghazi with minimal security and only the CIA to step in and help when things got out of hand.
