WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. intelligence officials are offering a new timeline detailing the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, saying CIA security officers went to the aid of State Department staff less than 25 minutes after they got the first call for help.
They say the team tried to get heavy weapons and other assistance from the Libyans, but when none was available left anyway.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.....This lame story has already been shot down by WaPo’s david Ignatious......First, on the question of whether Woods and others were made to wait when they asked permission to move out immediately to try to rescue those at the consulate. The answer seems to be yes, but not for very long. There was a brief, initial delay — two people said it was about 20 minutes — before Woods was allowed to leave. One official said that Woods and at least one other CIA colleague were “in the car revving the engine,” waiting for permission to go.
20 minutes may have been the difference between life and death for Sean Smith and Chris Stevens. They died of smoke inhalation, with Smith being pulled from the building already dead, and Stevens being found almost dead hours later. Their deaths are on Hillary and Obama.

The officials said early information that the attackers had ties to al-Qaida linked groups was not made public immediately because it was based on classified intelligence.
Hmmm, wasn't the ID of Seal Team 6 classified info that deserved the utmost protection? Did that to matter to this WH when there was a political football to be spiked?
I suspect that there is precisely no (zero, zip) reason to maintain security in order to protect al-qaida, and every good reason to do so to protect our brave and wonderful service people. I suspect a Goebbelsian LIE here; and, I suspect that every human on the planet does, as well.

CIA security agents, one was Tyrone Woods, who was told to “stand down” twice, before he went in against orders, according the timeline. Now the “officials” are running for the tall grass and trying to hide behind what others did and died doing, twisting words to fit into an acceptable narrative. If Tyrone Woods and another DS agent did not go to the consulate when they did, the admin would have a lot more bodies & blood on their hands. As it is the admin are complicit and they are unfit. Must be held to account.
How does this fit with the “reprehensible video” narrative ?????

6 weeks for the REGIME to come up with this BS. We asked the LIBYANS for heavy weapons and they didn’t have any. That has got to be the lamest excuse I have ever heard. Notice BENGHAZI is never mentioned in this BS excuse. THE FOREIGNERS REGIME mishandled BENGHAZI from the start by reducing security in a hot zone. In the middle by refusing aid to our people under attack and in the end by lying to the american people to cover their rear ends in the election.
It took them six weeks to shovel up a pile of b.s. and to coordinate its dissemination with their friends in the media.

1) Beck discovers CBS has damaging emails and failed to report, Beck seriously threatens to expose (yesterday)
2) At 6:30 pm today CBS headlines it’s ‘wordplay’/spin on emails: Sources: Key task force not convened during Benghazi consulate attack “CBS has learned....”
3) Exactly 1 hr. later, AP tries to cover for CBS story by sending out ‘official’ explanation: US officials: No delays in rescue effort in Libya
Sound about right?
AP will end up having egg in their face on that one. Direct bogies information in support of the Kenyan’s re-election.
