Barack Obama faces not one but two perfect storms. He actually may be grateful for the meteorological one if it predictably helps obscure the political one at least for the next week.
Hurricane Sandy is, of course, a disaster no one would welcome. Untold numbers of Americans are having their lives endangered, or at least severely disrupted, and the potential economic harm is unimaginable at this point.
The president could nonetheless see a silver lining in this horrific “weather event.” For one thing, he gets to posture as the leader of the nation in a terrible time of testing, the one to dole out federal emergency assistance and the great consoler around whom we instinctively rally in such circumstances.
Perhaps more importantly for Team Obama, many voters are going to have many other things on their minds for the next few, critical days instead of thinking about the evidence that their commander in chief was seriously derelict regarding the murderous attack in Benghazi, Libya. The president’s re-election bid cannot afford in the closing days of a putatively very close election to have his fraudulent claim to successful stewardship of the national security portfolio become as exposed as his dismal economic record.
It remains to be seen, however, if Frankenstorm Sandy will do more than simply defer the day of reckoning for Mr. Obama. Whether it occurs on Nov. 6 or afterward, the rising popular revulsion at what happened in Libya on Sept. 11, 2012, and the Obama administration’s dissembling, deflections and outright lies in the weeks that followed should blow this presidency away...

Having distracted voters from northern Virginia to New York does not hurt Romney; it hurts Obama. Those are his voters.
Those in Ohio are not inconvenienced no matter what the media tells you about the storm affecting us in Ohio. It is simply a fall rainstorm, nothing more. (I’m in Ohio.)
Ohio matters, as does Virginia, Colorado, and Florida.
Win those, and Romney wins the election.
And since northern Virginia is where Obama gets his Virginia votes, I’d say that the poll that shows Romney leading in Virginia is not going to be proven wrong.
In sum, run Benghazi fast and furious in these states and New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
Has any word yet been heard from any of the 25-30 other Americans who were at the Benghazi consulate or the safe house? Probably lots of information to be offered if we could ever hear from them.

Logic says they are going to be getting "debriefed" until after the polls close on November 6.

Were the others Americans or Libyans.
I believe they were all Libyans. The Seals returned to rescue three. The others were not mentioned as needing to be rescued
And were there any women among the survivors? Where are they? Is that why they were spirited away? How would it look if it came out that no aid was offered when the mission’s staff included females. We should be demanding to hear their story.
And here is something on the subject:

We won’t know for a time due to the important event next Tuesday. But I’d also think that any US Consulate would have staff assigned, and some of them would have been present unless Stevens mission was more or less off the record, as some have theorized (running arms to Syrian rebels).

This new committee was designed to solve some previous problem of interagency bureaucratic failure. It probably cost a ton of money and was hailed at its inception as a cure-all. We know better.
I understand the old media’s silence on Libya. I don’t understand the silence of the Republican 527’s.

A friend of mine’s nephew was on the Aircraft Carrier Stennis. His son emailed him what really happened. This is how he told the story, and while being part of the message traffic system at one time I think the information that was given to me was real.
The ship received a Authenticated Flash Message asking for help, when Admiral Gaovette started the ball rolling to launch help when another Authenticated Flash Message from the President came in telling them to Stand Down. (There is a special routing code used by only the president of the United States). He then continued to set in motion the help mission when he was relieved A day later the whole communication center who handled Authenticated Secret/Top Secret Message Traffic was removed and spread around the fleet. We all berth in the same area of the ship and It was apparent to us there was a spy on this ship that had contact outside the fleet telling someone what was taking place. We had time to check outgoing message traffic before getting and it was done buy some other means. Either e-mails or Sattelite Phone.
