Ex-Penn St. president charged in Sandusky case
Associated Press ^ | Nov. 1 4:55 PM | MARK SCOLFORO

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — The "conspiracy of silence" that protected Jerry Sandusky extended all the way to the top at Penn State, prosecutors said Thursday as they charged former university President Graham Spanier with hushing up child sexual abuse allegations against the former assistant football coach.

Prosecutors also added counts against two of Spanier's former underlings, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, who were already charged with lying to a grand jury.

Spanier's lawyers issued a statement that asserted his innocence and described the new charges as an attempt by Gov. Tom Corbett to divert attention from the three-year investigation that began under his watch as attorney general.

"This was not a mistake by these men. This was not an oversight. It was not misjudgment on their part," said state Attorney General Linda Kelly. "This was a conspiracy of silence by top officials to actively conceal the truth."

They deserve a fair trial. Then execution by a firing squad armed with flamethrowers.

They all knew exactly what was going on. Schultz had as special file on Sandusky that his assitants were told not to look at. Grand jury has it. Damning.

At a Capitol news conference, Kelly said all three men “knowingly testified falsely and failed to provide important information and evidence.”

Spanier was charged with perjury, obstruction, endangering the welfare of children, failure to properly report suspected abuse and conspiracy. Curley and Schultz face new charges of endangering the welfare of children, obstruction and conspiracy.

I’m wondering when the abusers of the boys will surface. It’s not just enablers and cover up people, there were more who abused these boys.

What I’d like to know is why Øbama “took care of” Spanier by landing him a cushy federal job.

Why is the POTUS aiding and abetting those who aid and abet child molestors?

Amen...Anyone connected to this should be put away after a fair trial and conviction. They sacrificed these youngsters for the institution...Pathetic and not acceptable.

Sandusky sacrificed children to his perverted lusts. Spanier arrived at Penn State as its president in the mid 1990s, announcing his intention to make it the most "gay friendly" campus in America. He succeeded to the extent that it became the most gay pederast-friendly campus in America.

Next up should be those who serve on Penn State's Board of Trustees. Which of them knew what when??? Which actually emulated Sandusky's behavior and which merely enabled that behavior? Investigate. Indict whomever is criminally culpable. Prosecute. Punish.

Next give the same sort of attention to Sandusky's Second Mile Foundation seeking to "help" fatherless boys. Same questions, same responses.

Next, Penn State is a government school. Investigate connections to politicians of whatever party and whether they connected to the scandalous behavior or its coverup. Same questions, same responses.

They weren’t protecting the school. They were protecting very important clients in Sandusky’s sex ring. High-level politicians, judges, doctors, lawyers—all involved with the Second Mile Foundation and big-time donors to PSU. Follow the $$, just follow the $$.

Sodomite protecting sodomites. Maybe it was a thank you for covering up for other sodomites who were in Sandusky’s sex ring.

When you practice sodomy-—there is no Right and Wrong in the Christian sense.

Spanier is a leftist pervert; I can’t remember specifically his thesis or whatever it’s called, but it was about “swinging” or some other sexually perverted topic. Since he was president there, he pushed fagdom nonstop.

This is not the sort of thing that they exchange immunity for testifying on - and this is why it’s going to be hard to crack. But the evidence of the coverup is supposed to be damning.

Maybe I’m just a cynic, but I immediate suspect any grown man who engages in clowning as being a sex pervert. Ditto for any guy putting on puppet shows.

I’m sure some pure-hearted gents would get caught in that web of suspicion, but I have a hunch that they would be a small minority.

These threads on the Sandusky case keep pushing the theory that there was a huge ring of pedophiles at Penn State. Why do you say this when none of the victims have accused anyone else?

I hope all of them get caught. Including the actual perps and not just the enablers. But I have a suspicion that most likely some of the enablers were actively involved in abusing boys.

I’ve read at least one article from a victim, now an adult, of being presented at some group event and since Sandusky was busy or something, being handed to another pedophile. It wasn’t at Penn State IIRC, but at some football event.

A master of understatement. We have to ask ourselves this salient question: Why are homos given more leeway to rape little boys while the rape of little girls would never go further than immediate action?

As I said before: you catch a homo raping a little boy your action in this order: Pick up nearest blunt object, clock the queer in brain-pan to render him unconscious, then call 911 to have him arrested and jailed. Your first action is not, I repeat, not to contact upper administration.

Good. Other than Sandusky himself, Spanier is more responsible than anyone else. The buck stopped with him, and he put the lid on it.

I haven’t looked recently, but I looked up Spanier on the Penn State web site when this first happens.

And . . . Surprise! Spanier was HIRED because he was well known for having brought the whole gay rights thing in at his previous job, and Penn State wanted more LGBT stuff. The primary reason he was HIRED was to make Penn State a center for LGBT rights—and activities!

Everyone wants to blame Paterno, because he had a reputation as a real hero, but Spanier was far more to blame. Paterno passed the word on up, and Spanier put the lid on it.

Interesting; I know that Spanier had been a perv promoter for a long time but did not know that he was hired specifically to push perversion.

IMHO Paterno was just as guilty as any of the other enablers. Why? Because he did not create a huge stink, and because he and many others did not, more boys were raped. There is no doubt at all that he knew what was going on. Maybe not every single eensy weensy detail, but he knew that Sandusky was a boy raper.

Football/money were more important than the fact that boys from bad homes were being raped by elites.

I wasn’t suggesting that Paterno should be let off the hook.

He did what he was supposed to do—reported what he had heard and knew to his superiors and put the burden on them to handle it, as he was supposed to do. And it was those superiors, and the state and county officials who also were informed at various times, who failed to act.

They probably said that they needed time to handle it, to reduce the fallout damage to the university. And they were the bosses. So, you could say that Paterno did his job, and left it to his superiors to handle it.

But. . . . Although this can be argued, I agree that it’s not enough in the case of child rape. At some point, when he realized that his superiors were covering up rather than organizing a solution—and perhaps lying to him about it and failing to do the right thing—he should have acted, and to hell with the chain of command.

But I think it’s fair to say that he is less to blame than a number of other people. He was focused on by the media, I think, for two reasons—one, because he was seen as a supposed hero who was revealed to have feet of clay, and two, because the MSM never misses a chance to badmouth a Catholic. This even gave them an excuse to raise the pederast priest issue once again, although there was really no connection.

Of course, there was no hint whatever that gay rights and academic LGBT friendliness might have anything to do with it.

The BSA did not prosecute and that was 100% wrong; but from my readings of this, they did kick out the molesters. So the BS are certainly free from blame; the molesters should have had the book thrown at them. The difference is that in most cases, once discorvered, the molesters were kicked out of the BS. At least that was the standard. And homosexuals are still not allowed in. And that is how it should be.

Quote from article:

But the files are also littered with horrific accounts of alleged pedophiles who were able to continue in Scouting because of pressure from community leaders and local Scouts officials.

So they did more tolerance of homo-pedophilia that I knew about - very bad.

In the Catholic Church the problem was again homosexuals - the Lavender Mafia - and lack of prosecution but even more so, tolerance for the molesters. Fortunately, the CC has taken action and the problem is much reduced.

Public schools? Teachers molest students far more than any other organization, both in numbers and percentages.

The root of the problem is - homosexuals. And the immoral cowards who tolerate and cover up for them.
