Saw many articles saying that the uptick from 7.8 to 7.9 was in fact GOOD news because the uptick meant more people were rejoining the search for a job. Amazing......

Why does Rush always say “Rass Mussin” Isn’t the correct pronunciation “Rass Mew sin”?

Rush's pronunciation is the correct one. Emphasis on first syllable. And 2nd syllable is not pronounced "miew."

The name "Rasmussen" means "son of Rasmus." (Rasmus, as in the name of the Renaissance scholar, Erasmus.)

Rasmussen is a common surname in Denmark, and in areas of this country where Danes or Norwegians settled.

I think it was Hannity who popularized the incorrect pronunciation, "Rass MIEW sun."
