Dingy Harry: We Won't Work With Mitt (Democrat Senate Leader Unloads On Romney Victory Alert)

RUSH: Breitbart is reporting Dingy Harry, the Senate majority leader, pledged to stonewall any attempt by Mitt Romney to pass his agenda if elected. Now, why would Harry Reid say that? Let's look at this. In the first place, we're told that we gotta have people walk across the aisle, bipartisanship. That was Obama, by the way. He was gonna end partisanship.

Obama was gonna bring us all together.

Okay, that didn't happen. Obama is the most-partisan and divisive president in American history. I'm pretty confident in saying that. He's the most divisive president in American history, on purpose and by design. Obama does not like half the country. Can I just be blunt? He does not like half the country. He does not like conservatives. He does not like Republicans. Yet he was the big bipartisan guy!

He was the guy who was going to come long and end partisanship, who was going to bring people together. Hope, change, all that. You know it. Now, Mitt Romney's out talking about that. Mitt Romney is out talking about building this country back up, putting it together, moving it forward. Reversing the trajectory that we're on, reversing the direction, streamlining it and all that. Harry Reid today pledged to block Romney's agenda if elected.

Now, why say that?

It's the Friday before the election.

Is Dingy Harry...? Is this a campaign statement, a campaign strategy? If so, who is it aimed to, or at? "Senate Democrats are committed to defending the middle class, and we will do everything in our power to defend them against Mitt Romney's Tea Party agenda." So, "Senate Democrats are committed to defending the middle class," and I'm pledging to stonewall any attempt by Romney to implement his agenda.

Folks, how does that affect voters? I would think the independents would be outraged at something like that. Then the other question, "Well, why is he say this?" This is stuff to fire up your base, folks. This is the kind of stuff you say to keep the underwear crowd over at Daily Kos and the Democrat Underground happy. This is the kind of stuff you say to keep San Franciscans from jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge at the thought of Romney winning.

But why is he even contemplating Romney winning on the Friday before the election? Why issue a statement that even contemplates Romney winning? Doesn't that agrue against the whole purpose of the last three days and the claim that they have put Obama over the top? So here's two statements. We've got Bill Clinton who in Lake Worth Florida today said (impression), "I may be the only guy in America, but I'm actually excited about more of Obama. Ha-ha-ha!"

And here's Harry Reid pledging to stop Romney in his tracks. Again, these are the nice people, don't forget. Yes, these are the people who care. These are the people who are gentle and thoughtful and cooperative. They want to work with people to get things done. In a contest of who is the most-partisan person in American politics, it would be a close contest between Barack Obama and Harry Reid.

Is this toning it down any?

Here we are in the midst of the Hurricane Sandy aftermath trying to bring people together. That's why we're gonna run the New York marathon! That's for you in New York. We're gonna bring people together. But Harry Reid is saying this kind of stuff? It was first posted at an ultra-left website, Talking Points Memo. I'm sure that this is... I'll answer my own questions. I'm better at it than anybody else is.

He's trying to rally his own troops.

That's what this is.

But it's not coming off... Well, I don't know how it's coming off. It doesn't sound good to me. This is supposed to rally the troops, but it seems like he's afraid of losing. Why even contemplate Romney's victory? Why even be thinking that? You want to rally the base? You tell 'em that we're gonna go full speed ahead with much more of what you like so much about the first term! You can't wait to implement the rest of Obama's agenda. You can't wait to work with Obama!

But for some reason, the two big spokesmen for the Obama campaign today cannot speak positively about the outcome Tuesday.

Now why would Senate Democratic Leader Dingy Harry get upset over the prospect of a Romney victory?

Because it will probably happen! He's not talking about working with Obama on a second term agenda.

No wonder Dingy Harry is fit to be tied!

Pete Hoekstra didn’t waste any time running with that comment in his race against Debbie Stupidcow here in Michigan.

I’ve been asking her on twitter if she intends to work with Mitt Romney to get things done or is she going to stand with obstructionist Reid.

Old Harry can work with the warden at Club Fed instead. Or maybe accept an appointment as Romney’s new ambassador to Libya.

Not to worry, Dirty Harry.
If you now become the Party of "NO" we will hardly notice. Not much of a threat if both houses are Republican and conservative.

We promise to give you the opportunity to be heard, and not to lock the doors during reconciliations, and not to gut a bill that has passed both houses and substitute an unconstitutional proposal which has not been debated as required by the Constitution.

The rest is up to you.

You can go home and enjoy a check for doing nothing, or engage in debate like a good loser.

Importantly, Reid threatened the senate Republicans months ago that if the Democrats capture the senate again, they are going to completely cut off any Republican input. He said that the new senate rules would end the filibuster, no individual senator would be able to put a "hold" on bills or appointment hearings, and the Republicans would get nothing.

So the next Republican senate majority leader has two choices. He can act like Republicans have long acted in the face of Democrat meanness, offering to be fair and bipartisan, or he can do to Harry Reid what Harry Reid threatened to do to him.

If he chooses to be fair and bipartisan, Harry Reid will completely stonewall the senate, block all appointments, prevent economic recovery, and otherwise do his damndest to ruin America in any way he can, causing untold suffering.

The Republicans have tried for decades to play nice with vicious, hateful Democrats. It must end. Not just for the sake of partisan power, but for our country itself.

I'd bet Mitt's got more "magic" than Dingy, if push comes to shove.

As Rush said, if Dingy Hairy was fully confident of an Obammie-the-Commie win, he would be saying something like, “If Mitt wins, of course we’ll reach across the aisle.”

He’d say that to sound majestic and wonderful, that is, to hide who he really is.

The fact that he said it’s laughable that the Dims would work with Romney indicates he truly believes Obammie the Commie is going to lose and Dingy Hairy is circling his Dim wagons to fight against the new administration.

Let’s hope that Mitt wins and we take the house and senate and that, when the Dims beg to have their opinions heard, Mitt says simply:

“I WON.”

Right back in their ugly, hateful, screaming faces.

Does this mean he hopes President Romney fails? I thought we weren’t supposed to feel that way.

Since Reid is going to be minority leader of the Senate..... He can try to obstruct to his hearts content .....

I can only hope McConnell puts a muzzle on him....

If obama wins and the democrats keep the senate, we’re toast. obama will not budge so either the house allows tax increases and we go down the tubes. Or obama refuses to budge and keep adding crap and allows sequestration to go foward. Then, we’re toast.

If Romney wins and the dems keep the senate the republicans best try to find a few democrats who will work with them and vote Harry out. Plus, Romney will need to call Salt Lake City.

I am not so sure that being obstructionist and doing nothing will help them. If nothing gets done, then it will make it more obvious when the Obamacare stuff kicks in that the Republicans didn’t do it. And if Romney uses the bully pulpit effectively, the mid terms will be quite unpleasant for the Dems. Reid needs to remember the post 2012 time bombs he has planted...
