DOJ sending voting observers to 23 states

With Election Day only four days off, the Justice Department is planning to send 780 observers to polls in 23 states including Texas, California and New York.

DOJ lawyers and other employees will monitor voting in Harris, Fort Bend, Dallas and Jefferson Counties in Texas; Alameda and Riverside Counties in California; and Orange County in New York.

The Justice Department observers will join a growing throng of lawyers and poll watchers sent by the presidential candidates as well as state and local candidates. In addition, Houston-based True the Vote, self-proclaimed poll integrity organization, has pledged to deploy a virtual army of watchers to sniff out alleged voter fraud at polling stations in Texas and elsewhere across the nation.

Some analysts are predicting that with so many partisan and non-partisan lawyers jamming into polling places, particularly in battleground states, the chances of a close finish winding up in court are greater than ever
I think that's the whole point.

They should be arrested and waterboarded as soon as they set foot in the state.

We don’t need them here. Don’t mess with Texas. May I suggest that they be sent to places where voter fraud is quite common: Philadelphia, St. Louis, and biggest violator of them all, the “Windy City”.

Send them to Arizona instead, so we can get to the bottom of the gun running fiasco down there.

Bleep’n bastards...

I am sure DOJ is sending these people out to find out why electronic voting machines are defaulting Romney votes to an Obama vote. This is third world kind of voter fraud. s/

REGARDING COUNTING STATIONS IN TEXAS ON ELECTION NIGHT:
My husband, Bill, who died last year, wrote the Texas law that governs/dictates who is selected to count votes at every central counting station in Texas on election night so the count will be fair. He was a dear man who loved Texas. Remember Bill when Texas election totals begin to come in next Tuesday.

Each presidential candidate may send a poll watcher to any voting precinct that has that candidate on the ballot.

The Federal Justice Department may send an observer to any voting precinct.

Every state and local candidate may also have a watcher at any voting precinct where their name is on the ballot.

Every party county chairman may appoint a watcher at every voting precinct.

The above also applies to The Early Voting Ballot Board that certifies mail ballots and the central counting station in every county where voting totals are counted on election night.

With all those watchers in the polling places, hopefully, there is enough room in a voting precinct for the voters to be able to get in and vote.

Milwaukee Dem Van Tire Slashers Get Sentenced

MILWAUKEE – A congresswoman's son and three Democratic campaign workers were sentenced Wednesday to four to six months in jail for slashing tires outside a Bush-Cheney campaign office on Election Day 2004.

The men pleaded no contest in January to misdemeanor property damage. A fifth worker was found not guilty.

"This case had to be a public example of what can happen when you interfere with voters' rights," said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Michael Brennan, who rejected prosecutors' recommendation of probation for the four men.

The state Republican Party had rented more than 100 vehicles to give rides to voters and poll monitors on Nov. 2, 2004. The cars were parked outside a GOP campaign office when the tires were punctured. The vandalism left the drivers scrambling for new vehicles.

Among those sentenced Wednesday were Sowande A. Omokunde, the son of U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wisconsin, and Michael Pratt, the son of former acting Milwaukee Mayor Marvin Pratt.

"I love my son very much. I'm very proud of him," Moore said. "He's accepted responsibility."

Omokunde was sentenced to four months in jail; Pratt and Lewis Caldwell of Milwaukee were sentenced to six months; and Lavelle Mohammad of Milwaukee was sentenced to five months. All were granted work-release privileges.

Brennan also ordered them to pay a $1,000 fine each, in addition to the $5,317 in total restitution ordered earlier.

The four could have faced up to nine months in jail term and fines of $10,000.

Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes in the 2004 election ended up going to Democrat John Kerry.

Moore’s own offspring, whom Wisconsin residents recognize as “Supreme Solar Allah“, is best known for his work as a political operative in the 2004 John Kerry campaign who was later convicted of slashing tires on Republican “get out the vote” vehicles.

0bama certainly seems very proud of his recent accomplishments:

"I'm very proud of him," Moore said.

Too little, too late.

Too much early voting already done.

Don’t trust anyone from DOJ to do anything correctly, anyway.
