FEMA Out of Water, No Delivery Until Monday
Breitbart ^ | Nov 3, 2012 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 11/03/2012 11:03:16 AM PDT by blueyon

FEMA's vaunted "lean forward" strategy that called for advanced staging of supplies for emergency distribution failed to live up to its billing in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

In fact, the agency appears to have been completely unprepared to distribute bottled water to Hurricane Sandy victims when the storm hit this Monday. In contrast to its stated policy, FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water -- or any other supplies, for that matter -- stored in nearby facilities as it had proclaimed it would on its website. This was the case despite several days advance warning of the impending storm.

This is what happens when you elect the third-string Junior High football team ( the Obama administration) into the NFL.

These guys are useless idiots. There’s plenty of water here in the Cleveland area and it takes about 10 hours for a tanker truck to drive from here to NYC.

There’s tons of good bottled water in thousands of stores and warehouses throughout North America (since so many people prefer to buy it for $2 a bottle rather than just drink tap water, which is also available in abundance). An administration which can’t deliver some drinking water to citizens in distress (while its President flies off in our Air Force One to shake even more campaign contribution money out of his rich “fat cat” comrades) is not only incompetent, its thoroughly disgusting!

Maybe Obama can get the beer cart girls from those golf courses he’s always at to deliver some water.

I said last night that Trump ought to come out and say, “Give me 30 days and all will be back to normal.” I think he could do it.

Don’t forget Shepard Smith. They can go out there and get in another competition to see who can report the most ridiculous rumors again.

Didn’t matter that when the national guard swept through there were no dead bodies in the dome and most of the rumors were just that. That part wasn’t newsworthy.

"There’s tons of good bottled water in thousands of stores and warehouses throughout North America..."

And it would be flooding into the NY metro area, were it economically feasible for the stores and warehouses to ship it there, but "anti-gouging" price caps prevent it from being so.

The United States of America.
We can’t deliver water in a major urban area???

With the resources this nation has????

Get this worthless community organizer out of the White House; what a utter disgrace.

The Obama people were going to “shove this hurricane up Romney’s rear end” if I remember the quote correctly.

Looks like instead; they don’t know how to wipe their own.

A water line from CT could be installed before Monday!

No chance. The requisite environmental impact study alone could take as many as five years.

“Ms. Wright was unable to say when or how the water would be delivered from the distribution center to needy Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey, Staten Island, Long Island, and other boroughs of New York City. Vendors “are currently being evaluated,” she said, and when the vendors are announced, they will provide information on how local distribution will occur.”

Have no fear, thirsty citizens, “vendors are being evaluated”. No doubt the whole process will be completed with a week or two and then distribution can begin.

Kafka couldn’t dream this stuff up.

Christie just wanted to look good to help his reelection bid. He should be spending a bit more time in the gym and a little less time at the 4 star diner.

A leader should represent himself or herself from the inside out. If one does not exhibit self respect in all areas of one’s life he/she cannot lead people, cities and countries to their true potential.

Christie would serve himself better and New Jersey better by exhibiting greater self respect through improving his physical appearance and, at the same time, most probably his health.

Perhaps extending the election won’t be such a bad thing, if the situation continues to deteriorate, that certainly can’t help the Kenyan.
