The Talk Shows

November 4th, 2012

Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:

FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rich Beeson, political director for Romney's campaign; David Axelrod, adviser to Obama's re-election campaign.

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): David Plouffe, adviser to President Barack Obama; Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va.

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Political analysts.

Schieffer posted this on his blog Saturday: We're not talking to either side this Sunday. Instead, I'm going to go to some very smart people on two different panels. I want to see what they think, see if together we can find any trends. My guess is they probably don't have any more answers than I do, but we'll find out for sure on Sunday. Harvard's David Gergen, National Review's Rich Lowry, Vanity Fair's Dee Dee Myers, The Wall Street Journal's Peggy Noonan and our own John Dickerson will start us off. Then, we'll breakdown the numbers behind a 2012 victory with Democratic pollster Anna Greenberg, Republican strategist Leslie Sanchez, Rothenberg Political Report's Stu Rothenberg, University of Virginia's Larry Sabato and CBS News Elections Director Anthony Salvanto.

THIS WEEK (ABC): Plouffe; Ed Gillespie, adviser to Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.

STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel; Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio.

I’m just thrilled that the bastards in the LAMEstream media are paying proper respect to the Benghazi 4.

Yeah, I know the election is Tuesday. But at least one of them could have devoted 10 minutes to this travesty.

... the “safe room” HVAC protection failed ...

I read something on this the other day, wish I could remember the source. There was NO "HVAC" in the safe room - no fire supression, source of air, etc. in the event of a fire. The comments were that the 'safe' room had never been properly set up - yes, they had bars, some supplies, but no way to get through something like a fire. Another example of total negligence and incompetence when it came to security and safety.

“The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them.”

I think this one might be what inspired Newsday (!!!) to endorse Romney today.

Well, the principle Henry expressed AND the fact that government transparency is, ultimately, currency for the press.

I’ve been wondering if my former keepers in the lamestream media would EVER speak up on behalf of their own business interests....

Every election we have some surprises. People win that should not or lose that should not.

Just for fun what are Sunday threads readers prediction for this Elections “unexpected” result?

My prediction, Obama wins Ohio causing the Media to call the election early but Obama loses Wis and Colorado late in the night to lose the election.

Other surprise Akin wins the US Senate seat in MO and is the 51st GOP Senator

I am just shocked when I happen to see Obama appearances on this weekend before the election and he still has his teleprompters. If he hasn’t ‘internalized’ his message after all his campaigning then I worry about his mental capacity — and the mental capacity of every ‘reporter’ who travel with him, are forced to be present at every rally, and refuse to let the American public know that the O still needs to read his message.

PS: I have serious worries about the mental status of the vpotus. He is showing signs of dementia. They are not just funny gaffes.

Wallace grilling A***rod about Bengazi.

Not in WH, not privy to discussions. He’s (Obama) bent over backwards to protect this country.

Wallace asking what did the president know and when did he know it?

Hitler: President didn’t know about additional requests, throws NSA under bus.

Wallace: President’s response to the second attack.

Hitler: They took every step they could take, what steps should we take in the future.

Wallace: Why return to campaign within 3 hours in Las Vegas of Bengazi attack.

Hitler: Humina humina everything that could be done, he had done.

Wallace: You have bet your moustache, just how secure is that moustache?

Thanks for the thread, AB!

ABC, Plouffe responds to Guilliani’s “popping off” (Plouffe’s phrase) about obama’s campaigning while bodies are still being discovered in the East. runs down all the stuff being done there....right.

Plouffe says it’s a smokescreen that Romney has certain states in the bag. see, see, Romney is having to go after West Virginia, Florida, etc. okey-doke.

All Gov. Romeny is offering is ideas that wrecked our economy in the first place. lolololololol - infinity

It amazes me when I go back and look at the things Patrick Henry, George Washington, etc. said way back in “the day”. STILL so applicable to today which just tells me yet again how remarkable the founding of this country was, what extraordinary people were involved, and how blessed we were and are to have had this happen. The founding principles and the Constitution have the hand of God in them and I just love it when Paul Ryan says they should be ‘reapplied’. If we do that, I think the country will survive .... we see what happens when someone like Obozo tramples everything & spits in God’s eye, to put it mildly. I just hope God continues to bless us with a president who loves America, not one who has demonstrated malice in his heart for America and her people.

F.Chuck now on MTP with DNC dav just showed made pup stats that show zero with a 68/15% ratings for his handling of hurricane Sandy. No thanks to that fat basturd Chris Christie who will never go anywhere in our party ever again!

Problem is zeros numbers have to have been tanking ever since Christie's BJ with: long mile long gas lines, people still sitting on roof tops waiting for fema,non-union South Carolina electricians being banned from helping,no water, people wandering aimlessly on Long Island and general dissarray of any management in the real world of the hurricane victims.

One of the later versions of events now has the CIA actually sending Woods, Doherty and 2 others to aid the ambassador and civilians.

Team Obama are grabbing onto anything they can and trying to modify it to placate the masses.

Those weeks of reports of Woods and Doherty being denied twice to go to the fighting and their finally disobeying orders has evaporated into 'ahhhh, the CIA sent them.'

==

One new report yesterday actually said that Woods was in Benghazi but Doherty came with a team, due to the attacks, from Tripoli.

I went 'hmmmmm' at that, because every report since Sept 11 indicated that both Woods and Doherty were working in Benghazi.

Team Obama are still in search of a narrative that seems plausible.

Wallace: How long before we know who the next president will be (do you think it will be close enough for you to steal)

Hitler: We should know by this time in the morning the next day.

There is little doubt that Stevens died of smoke inhalation. My guess is that he would rather breathe diesel fumes than let the terror types in his room knowing what they would ultimately do to him and they did anyway.

I don't think there was any effort at all on the part of the administration to help anyone there since they thought the terror types that were there were being controlled by obama.

Unless you have researched this thing for weeks and read hundreds of links this all sounds really bizarre. But its the conclusion I am currently drawing.

Obama will not take Ohio.

And many other states where it is “close”? Romney will take them, too.

Why?

Obama should NOT be “close” in states he’s supposed to win. That in and of itself should tell us something, and if the so-called journ-O-lists did their jobs objectively, they’d be remarking on these facts, too.

The fact remains that Romney is really challenging Obama in places Obama’s team didn’t expect, and now they’ve gone Whack-a-Mole all over the map trying to undo that, but each time another poll springs up. Even in your orginal state of Minnesota, for goodness sakes!!!

Not the Romney will win Minnesota, but come on, Obama polling BADLY in Minnesota? That’s news, and not good for Barry at ALL!

Ed Gilespie on ABC. George says state polls show obama holding a small but steady lead.....Ed, do you think there is some bias in them? Gillespie points out the plus democrat margins in polls, like Ohio.

Gillespie believes Romney will not only win, but will win decisively.

George asks, “Does Romney have a problem with how obama is handling the hurricane?” Gillespie doesn’t take the bait.

George asks, “Do you agree with Karl Rove that obama’s actions have helped him in the last week?” Gillespie says, I don’t know....brings up the “Vote for Revenge” comment. Says he hears obama energizing his base....Romney has a bigger message.

If he loses he will never be on FOX again so an empty bet. Not to mention he could likely grow the mustache in 2 weeks.
