Fox & Friends Has Its Theories About 60 Minutes‘ Libya Edit: ‘Could A Call Have Been Made?’
Mediaite ^ | November 5, 2012 | Alex Alvarez

On Monday, the hosts of Fox & Friends turned their collective attention over to CBS’ 60 Minutes interview with President Barack Obama in the days following the attack in Benghazi. Why, the hosts wanted to know, did the show not air a portion of the interview wherein the President says the following:

Well, it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans.

The hosts had some theories.

Steve Doocy, for instance, found the President’s use of the word “groups” interesting, particularly given the still-unfolding timeline of who knew what at one point following the deadly attack.

Gretchen Carlson wondered why that particular response hadn’t made it to air during the original 60 Minutes broadcast. “I mean, it was the news of the day,” she said. “There wre four Americans who died, it was on 9/11 . It was a big deal. So, and, the second part of the question is: Why does CBS feel compelled now to release it, two days before the election?”

“If it was a smoking gun,” added Doocy, “they’d release it next Wednesday, or the day after that.”

“Could a call have been made?” asked Brian Kilmeade, asking that the President’s comment be “left out” in the wake of Ambassador Susan Rice‘s comment from earlier that day.

Rick Kaplan overseas CBS , this Dem operative who ran CNN and gave it the name Clinton News Network in the 90s.
He was at WH every weekend staging Monica-gate media attacks on Ken Starr.
Ricky came from 60 minutes and staged the famous 60 minutes Jennifer Flowers interview with the vile Clintons.

CBS is a Axelrod pr firm
And nothing more .

Pity.
There was a time when CBS was the gold standard in broadcast news.

“There was a time when CBS was the gold standard in broadcast news.”

Not really. All one needs to do is really look into Walter Conkrite.

Or read up on Sig Mickelson and William Paley

Or read up on Operation Mockingbird.

Btw, it’s too bad that Bernstein - of Woodward and Bernstein- didn’t have much to say about his partner’s connections when he wrote his article for the Rolling Stone about the Media and the CIA.

In their own minds maybe they want to believe there is still no alternative news sources. What used to be a first resort for news has now become a laughing stock.

No evidence has surfaced so far to support the idea that the Obama Administration deceived the public deliberately.

Wanna bet?

CBS spiked a part of Obama's interview given 14 hours later in which Obama said:

You're right that this is not a situation that was -- exactly the same as what happened in Egypt and my suspicion is that there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start," Mr. Obama said.

That part of the interview was on the cutting room floor when the interview was first aired

That is the closest Obama came to telling the truth. I wonder why he did not tell CandyBooBoo to get that transcript? Because he knew it had been spiked. And if he knew Libya was not like Egypt, then why the hell was the video all he could talk about at the UN?

What was in the aired version?

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: I think most Americans - Democrats or Republicans - understand that there are times where we set politics aside, and one of those is when we've got a direct threat to American personnel who are overseas. And so, you know, I think that if you look at how most Republicans have reacted - most elected officials – they've reacted responsibly, waiting to find out the facts before they talked; making sure that our number one priority is the safety and security of American personnel.

It appears that Governor Romney didn't have his facts right. You know, the situation in cairo was one in which a – an embassy that is being threatened by major protests releases a press release, saying that the film that had disturbed so many Muslims around the world wasn't representative of what Americans believe about Islam, in after effort to cool the situation down. It didn't come from me. It didn't come from Secretary [Hillary] Clinton. It came from folks on the ground who are potentially in danger, and, you know, my tendency is to cut folks a little bit of slack when they're in that circumstance, rather than try to question their judgment from the comfort of a campaign office.

And, you know, I do have to say that, more broadly, you know, we believe in the First Amendment. It is one of the hallmarks of our constitution that I'm sworn to uphold. And so, we are always going to uphold the right for individuals to speak their mind. On the other hand, this film is not representative of who we are and our values, and I think it's important for us to communicate that. That's never an excuse for violence against Americans, which is why my number one priority - and my initial statement - focused on making sure that - not only are Americans safe, but that we go after anybody who would attack Americans. But there's a broader lesson to be learned here, and, you know, Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later. And as President, one of the things I've learned is that you can't do that; that, you know, it's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts; and that you've thought through the ramifications before you make them.
[me: Yet he finds nothing wrong about lying in front of the caskets of 4 DEAD Americans???]

Given everything we have learned since 9/11, one has to ask why it was spiked. Again, based on the totality of the actions of the WH and State Department, I can only conclude there was a conscious decision made to go with the video excuse and CBS was asked to cut that statement from the version which aired.

I want to know what people were involved in changing the narrative. Who changed the narrative and who told Susan Rice to lie like a rug? And why did Kroft agree to go with the false narrative?
