” America is in incipient decline, and this week’s presidential election might be the last chance to reverse it.”

Yes.

Americans should study life in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Life in the United States will begin to resemble some version of all of those.

Another four years of Barack Obama well might take us past the point of no return,

Because

The main causes of economic decline are liberal policies:

1) rent and price controls cause decline of quality of housing and goods
2) minimum wage and pro labor and pro union legislation causes unemployment
3) chronic budget deficits that are unfinanced cause deflation and increasing national debt
4) lack of gold standard and fractional reserve banking, and the ability of the Fed to create money out of thin air, causes inflation
5) inflation to finance budget deficits causes less savings
6) confiscatory taxation to finance budget deficits causes less savings
7) government borrowing to finance budget deficits causes less savings
8) less savings causes less investment which causes less capital accumulation
9) the assault on the wealth of, spending by, and income of the rich is an assault on private property rights and an assault on the improvement of productivity of labor which causes both lower average real wage rates, and economic stagnation or decline. The assault on the rich also causes destruction of incentives to accumulate and maintain capital and to improve and maintain production. Losses in terms of innovation and the growth of major new industries would be substantial.
10) government redistributionism causes less capital accumulation
11) less capital accumulation causes economic decline
12) environmentalism's fear of and hostility to science, technological progress, and economic progress cause more regulations
13) liberalism's fear and hostility to the rich, businessmen, and capitalists cause more regulations
14) health and safety concerns causes more government regulations
15) excessive government regulations causes economic decline
16) antitrust legislation cause continued survival of inefficient producers, high cost producers, dull producers, and incompetent producers
17) government interventionism which leads to an assault on freedom of entry and competition causes the barring of capable sellers from the market and restricts the range of choice of suppliers to buyers
18) egalitarianism and the libtard assault on economic inequality causes the abolition of causality. Which means the abolition of the connection between and individual's efforts and his income and the abolition of cost in the spending of income. This leads to the incentive to do as little as possible and to spend as much as possible.
19) the decline of rationality and the increased acceptance of the libtard delusion that the government can provide benefits for which the citizens do not have to pay causes the destruction of traditional American values and loss of freedom which leads to all of the above.

"Incipient" is the wrong word. We are being deconstructed at every level as a result of idiotic policies & intellectually & morally bankrupt leadership.

Losing America's Multi-Generational Purpose.

I hope that everyone who comes in here will take the few minutes required to read this entire article. It is well worth the time.

It tells WHAT is happening- I am only sorry it is not telling us WHY. And “why” comes right down to the public education system. Over a hundred years ago, John Dewey decided that you couldn’t make good socialists out of individuals, and so, began a pogrom against the education system that was embraced by other, wealthier and more well-placed, socialists. This agenda has been carried by universities and government agencies since. I cannot remember who said it, Marx or Lenin, but the belief that all that was needed was one generation of schoolchildren has been carried forward, now, into several generations. It has always been the purpose of the public school system to drive a wedge between children and their parents. Parents have values and beliefs that the system doesn’t like.

So now, as Dewey and his fellow-travelers desired, we have generations of children who are less educated than their peers in other countries, have no critical thinking skills and are fully indoctrinated. Those children who are not the children of the elite are prepped for dependency and a drone-like existence. Oh, and btw...Dewey was an unchallenged eugenicist, just like all well placed socialists of his time.

I have personally seen concerned parents intimidated by school officials; I have personally seen teachers put aside class time so that young girls can have “baby showers” for each other; I have personally witnessed children being taught that their parents’ values should not be theirs. The purpose of the public education system, beginning with the teaching programs in universities and colleges, is to make absolutely sure that YOUR child believes that dependency on government is a GOOD thing, that your child is properly sexualized (leading to that dependence), and that any propensity for your child to be proud of the American heritage, to be patriotic, or to be a critical thinker is smashed.

There are things we can do now to bring America back to its past glory, and we should do them. But ONE THING we MUST do is to take the current public education system apart, brick by brick.

* Abolish the Dept of Education and make sure, by amendment if necessary, that the federal government is forbidden to ever involve itself in education ever again.

* Return all control of education to the states

* Abolish all degrees in “education”. They are useless- I know, I HAVE one. All teachers should have degrees in their discipline. This is rarely the case. “Education programs” in colleges are the dumping areas for those who are at the bottom of the education ladder.

*Cut the funding for education “administrators”. Some districts have as much as a one-to-one ratio, teachers to administrators. Just how many “guidance counselors” does ANY district need?

* No changes to ANY curriculum that doesn’t have the full cooperation of the parents and the teachers.

* Make every state a right-to-work state. Boot the teachers unions. The damage they have done to education is inestimable.

This is just a start. According to the NCES website, American students, despite being the best funded in the WORLD, have now fallen to nos. 24 and 26 behind the Slovak Republic, and this is unacceptable. Our kids need to compete on a global scale and the public schools have seen to it that they canNOT.

Dependency on government support will rise sharply just as the federal government’s capacity to finance the dependent population will fall.

What this will bring about will not be pretty. If we do not have Jacobin/Marxist/Bolshevik/Nazi style street activity, it will only be because those who still understand where wealth comes from, will take steps to prevent it. In either case, America will utterly cease to be a land where a happy, confident people, enjoy their present, and look to an even better future for their children.

Tomorrow is, indeed, a critical moment in the history of our peoples.

Obama and the Democrats in unison with unions will do to America what they have done to Detroit.
Once America's richest city and home to the world's most important and profitable industry, this economic powerhouse was brought to its knees by Democrats, unions and their lowlife welfare constituency.

As goes Detroit, so goes the nation...
