This is nothing new.

NY State has rented out its armories for many many years.

And those rentals have been given priority over military use for as long as I can remember.

I can recall a number of occasions in my Guard days when we were booted out of “our” armories for some antique or dog show, or whatever.

This shows where the NY State Government’s priorities are.

My concern is the allocation of scarse resources for disaster support crews.

I personally was very proud, both as a woman and as a citizen of the USA, when the beautifull Victoria Secrets models show was televised shortly after 91101.
Yeah, it was a racy lingere commercial, but it also had angel wings and definite pro-USA attitude!
Since I live in Florida, I am used to seeing lots of young men and women in skimpy clothes.

IMHO, it beats the hell out of seeing anyone in a burka!
