The first votes are in!
Ten of them, anyway. And it's an Obama, Romney tie.
The small hamlet of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire distinguishes itself every primary and general election by voting right at midnight.

Thats a bad sign. normally they are pretty conservative up there.
Not good for Romney.
according to 2010 census
It's a small hamlet, not a Zogby poll.
I thought they went for Obama overwhelmingly in 2008. They may be conservative, but I could have swore they went for Obama in 2008. A tie MAY BE ok.
You are correct that Zero won in Dixville Notch in 2008. Hopefully a tie bodes well showing that Zero has lost support. It’s going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooong day!
obama won the Notch vote 15-6 in 2008
Actually it is a good sign as far as omens go.
2008
Barack Obama - 15
John McCain - 6
Its going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooong day!
It is going to be. 24 hours ago I thought Romney had this all done. Today for some reason I am a bit more nervous than I thought I was going to be. Did you just hear on Fox News that some idiot Republican just tried to vote twice in Nevada? She is arrested. Yep even some Republicans are being immoral today. I hope the Democrats are not going to fraud our election. We must not have another term with Obama! Go Romney/Ryan!!!!!
are we sure it wasn’t a democrat impersonating a republican?
I think you forgot your sarc tag. Either that or FR is going to inundated with enuretics all day long.
are we sure it wasnt a democrat impersonating a republican?
If it turns out that way, I would be happy to hear. However, since Fox News is covering it, it probably was a Republican.
People are astonishingly ignorant of the demographics of New England.
A generation ago, towns there used to be solid R. Nowadays, they are Deep Blue.
Its simply difficult for Republicans to win there any more. NH is nowadays a Blue State and Kerry and Obama both won it.
Dixville Notch is no longer a true bellwether of anything. O lost some votes there this morning but NE remains his strongest region.
I just don’t get it! Things are in bad this country right now and NO ONE is better off because of Obama. How anybody could cast a vote for that sorry ass anti-american loser is mind boggling!
I agree things are so horrible why would anybody vote for this traitor? Well, we’ve been beaten down, many have lost their pride and don’t think we deserve any better. I believe that was the plan all along.
They voted for obama in 08 and by 8 to 4.
LLS
...so eleven voters sat it out this time..? Then again; they may have died from boredom over the past four years.
My wife works with Red Hampshire women that say Zero needs four more years to fix the damage caused by Bush.
This might be a pleasant omen
Preach it, brother...I live in Red Hampshire (spit), and I am not convinced that Romney will win here. Lots of SEIU/union thugs and radical 'womyn' round these parts that just adore 'The One'.
Dixville Notch has spoken: It’s Obama in a landslide
BARACK OBAMA
November 03, 2008
Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, is the first in the nation to vote in the primaries and Election Day.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama emerged victorious in the first election returns of the 2008 presidential race, winning 15 of 21 votes cast in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.
People in the isolated village in New Hampshire’s northeast corner voted just after midnight Tuesday.
It was the first time since 1968 that the village leaned Democratic in an election.
Obama’s rival, Republican John McCain, won 6 votes.
There are only THREE reasons for this woman to even say anything like that.
1:Hates Bush and is a liar - IDIOT!
2:Completely ignorant. Has no clue. - IDIOT!
3:Both - IDIOT!
Hopefully, there are an insignificant number of IDIOTS today casting votes.
An excellent summation...

But the went for republican gov and congress by 2:1.
