That right there is the problem - elected officials are human beings. They are just like the rest of us - or they should be. Varying degrees of stupid, smart, strong, soft and suckers for star power.

Christies behavior was proof that he was not ready for primetime.

He acts tough, but he did not behave as a leader.

I understand people crack under pressure, but he cracked so fast and ran to the mac daddy in record time.

I second that. Other elected officials have had to deal with disasters in their states and didn’t make fools of themselves in the process. Haley Barbour didn’t act like this. Bruce Springsteen? Crying over Bruce Sprinsteen? Sheesh, I’m a “girl” and I stopped crying over celebrities back when it was David Cassidy.
