We have two machines and its going slow. Move thirty feet since my post. 60 feet to go.
Voting in Terre Haute at 9:15 this morning. It was a steady flow of voters.
When I inserted my ballot I saw that I was voter number 125. There are two machines at my location.
I voted Saturday. WE opted to go DURING the football game because lines were so long PRIOR to it. We still waited over an hour to vote.
General observations. The ones waiting in line tended to be CONSERVATIVE. 150 + waiting, not one minority, even though this is as very diverse community. I did watch 20-30 minorities walk up, look at the line, and turn around and leave. I saw the same thing amongst the college age kids. They didn’t want to wait.
If we are typical, Romney will lead in early Indiana voting.
I arrived at the station about 6:50AM with about 30 voters ahead of me and there were about 30 in line when I left. Very rural red area....going for RR! Good turn out for my township.
Hamilton County - 7:30am - waited 30 minutes in line. Thank God I live in a representative republic.
Lafayette, Indiana here! Voted at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds at about 8:30 AM. Cars parked out to Teal Road (SR 25). Line was long, but moved quickly. I was back to work at 9:00. Anyone voting here, I would suggest the Fairgrounds as I believe it is the largest vote center in the county and there were always machines available while I was waiting.
May the heros of Benghazi be proud of how we vote today.
They gave their lives for us, now we need to give our votes for them.
Vote as if the lives of our Military Men and Women depended on it.
Fort Wayne, Heavily Republican area South West... polls opened at 6am, I was able vote and leave by 6:15. Three machines, steady flow of about 30 people. Everyone happy in line.
If Romney wins Vigo County, he should be well on the way to the White House. Its voted with the national winner all but two times since 1892.

Just voted. Poll watcher said that it has been busy all morning. Rely Lucan area with heavy turnout.
The town's younger adult population is probably mostly at work, but there are not a whole lot of them. Unfortunately there is a good deal of riffraff residing in the town now---I suspect they will not even vote.
Three voters in our household, of course all of us voted straight-Republican.
You have a choice here between paper and electronic voting. Paper ballots are placed in a scanner upon completion. I don't know if that scanner also does the actual reading and tabulating.

The ladies checking our ID said it’s been busy like this since they opened.
I voted straight ticket - no reason not to based on who was running. The ONLY one that gave me pause was Chard in the 5th district. He’s Libertarian and I appreciated his candid and articulate explanations of his position. I get really frustrated with the canned messaging of the larger campaigns and love it when people talk like a real person (even in writing). Unfortunately there were a couple of deal breakers for me. Rupert shot himself in the foot with his compromising language on abortion. The issue is polarizing because it deals with life. Either be for or against it but don’t be lukewarm on it. And if you are don’t tell me about it because you will lose my vote every time.
Frapster, you asked about Bennett for Superintendent of Public Instruction yesterday, and I was going to reply but the servers got clogged up.
I met Bennett at our GOP Club; he’s very energetic. Taught & coached at Scottsburg, where my wife is from. Very much not an NEA hack, as his opponent would be. Favors local choice in schools, and wants to reward success and punish failure instead of the union way. I’m confident with him in that post.
I did a ton of reading on him and it was a no brainer. His ideas may not be proven but I love them. Why not bring a free market approach to our schools? I think competition is good for the process. And I have no sympathy for the establishment where the education system is concerned. When I see the young vote breaking for liberal ideals right out of high school and college clearly something is way out of kilter. I just voted for a guy in running for our school board here in Noblesville - he’s about to get an earful about what this constituent expects to keep my vote.
The more I read about his opponent and her union involvement the more I knew it was a no-brainer.
Oh man - that choked me up. This particular tragedy and the unfolding news has caused me to be so heartbroken for these men, their families and our country.

Hamilton County / Noblesville / Grace Church (33/34)
We went at 8:30am. The line for District 33 was over 1 hour. This was a lot longer than 2008. The line for District 34 (my District) was 10 minutes.
I was thinking of pressing charges at where I went to vote at 6:15 this morning, it was humiliating.
I was harassed by the old lady working the books, being told that I should be ashamed that my license was two weeks expired and told to get my “lazy butt” up and get it renewed.
THEN I was sexually harassed while waiting in line when one of the republican clerks came up and goosed me while waiting for a machine to open up.
*sigh* No one took me seriously when I complained to the judge working the polling place though, I was forced to confess the old lady was my mom and the worker was my wife he just put a sticker on me and pointed to the door.
Voted in Westfield in Hamilton county at 11:45. We are a HEAVILY Republican district. Poll worker said turnout substantially greater than in 08. If this is how we turn out nationwide, Dick Morris will be proved right.
Morgan county here, I haven’t talked to my wife yet on how the turnout was compared to the last 2 elections but around here we have a huge republican tilt.
