My wife and I voted in Laurel, MD, this morning, at the Anne Arundel County Library in Russett. I realize that we may have been among the few conservatives who stood in line for two hours, but I was happy with the turnout. It made me wonder if more people were actually voting for Romney.Everything seemed in order. I double checked my ballot for accuracy, just in case.

Wow, this is big news. I live in Maryland and I’m usually in and out very quickly (although I live in a rural area). I voted by absentee ballot this year, so I can’t report on how it was at my usual polling place. Wouldn’t it be amazing if Maryland went RED!!!!!

I never know what to make of these reports of heavy voting in Blue states like MD. You would think all those Obamabots would be less inclined to vote this election.

Gay marriage and expanding gambling on the ballot today. Gay marriage brings out the people.

Lots of local issues this time, homosexual marriage (again) and more gambling

the democrats convinced me during Ehrlich’s tenure that gambling was REALLY really bad for MD, so for Mike Busch and the rest of the democrat hypocrites- NO on 7

Heavy voting in a solid blue state? May not be a good sign for the GOP.

Here in Severn, we waited in line an hour, and as we were leaving, the line was even longer. They always clap for first time voters, and one of the first-timers was a man in camouflage in his 50s. Probably not an Obama voter!

We are in Montgomery County. My son went in to vote in the pre-work hours. He reported a short wait. I am about to go up there now and just drove past the polling place, a local school. No crowds, not very many cars in the parking lot.

A lot of people here do care strongly about and will turn out for the DREAM Act and gay marriage.

There are a few big issues on state questions this year. With all the advertising for/against Q7, I’m not surprised a lot of folks are turning out.

I voted in Gulf Shores, Alabama this morning. The line was out the door, across the parking lot and down the side walk. I have never seen anything like it.

RE : I realize that we may have been among the few conservatives who stood in line for two hours, but I was happy with the turnout

My polling station school is always mobbed before work. But I have found it empty after 7pm (after dark) which is why I go then instead.

I have zero enthusiasm for standing in a two hour line with idiot Maryland voters, hint : O Malley. Obama will take this state again easy. This is the sheeple state: sheeple Baaa : 'raise those taxes and electric prices some more Martin, it hurts so good '

Never been one to buy in to these anecdotal ‘huge lines/no lines’ stories because I’ve never seen them amount to a hill of beans. Been there, done that with several elections now.

The DUmmies were so sure in 2004 that huge lines in their liberal areas spelled doom for Bush. We don’t know what exactly any of this means until the votes are counted.

In deep blue Bethesda it was a 1hr wait to vote. These are by and large the democrat true believers. Did notice a demographic difference this time- younger parents with kids. My hope is that they were thinking about their kid’s future.

I voted at 7:45am this morning in the mostly red North Carroll area of MD. All the polling stations stayed filled, but there was no line at all. Fastest I ever got in & out of voting in 22 years here. I chalk it up to either early voting taking the load off, or conservatives who figure it doesn’t matter how they vote in a deep blue state, so why bother. Who knows.
