Referendum 74 (same-sex marriage) passes in Washington State
Washington Secretary of State ^ | November 6 2012 | Washington Secretary of State

With 100% of the votes tallied, it looks like same-sex marriage has been passed by Washington State voters. Sign of the times.

Spiritual Depravity on display. Grieving for America to turn her heart back to God.

It’s so dang frustrating to see a large majority of our counties colored red every election and then King on the other side determining every major race.
Back in the 80s the Spokesman-Review ran a special magazine section on a Sunday paper talking about making the state of Columbia. It would be made up of Eastern WA, Northern ID and Western MT. Other versions would also include Eastern OR. I was for it then and am very much for such an idea today.

Maryland passed it by less than 1%.

We also passed the “Dream Act”. So illegals get in-state tuition! Woo hoo!

Oregon is like that, too. If you want to win the state, win the Portland Metro Area and Multnomah County. You win those two, you pretty much win the whole enchilada. After all, that's where the majority of the population lives. If I'm not mistaken, slightly over half of Oregon's entire population lives in the PMA/Multnomah County. And it's pretty liberal, to put it mildly.

Live in Washington State, but gave up drinking years ago. When will it be legal to buy me some reefer? Hopefully tomorrow.

Well said.

Once done, move on.

I was hoping for and voted for a different outcome, but oh well.
This was a really crucial race too.
Leeches and parasites are voting to feed and they got another term.

In the end, we’ll get by.

Joshua 24:15 "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Pretty much.
You’d almost think Republicans are pretending to run against other queers.

I know, I lived in Lakeview OR for a year and saw how OR politics were controlled by the Portland area. At least Eastern WA has a few cities. Spokane, Tri-Cities, Yakima, Wenatchee. Eastern OR doesn't have much... Bend, Klamath Falls?

There have been only 1.8 million out of 3+ million votes counted. Nowhere NEAR 100%...however, it IS passing 52 to 48 percent.

I have said in the past that this is the likely outcome.

Cascadia Subduction Zone. That’s all I have to say.

Filthy!!!
How can people vote for something that its very description disgusts and can get a post deleted.
(Description): You would think the fecal matter at the exit to the down escalator they are trying to run up would be clue enough!!!
Disgusting!
What’s next, now are we discriminating against polygamists, pedophiles, beastialitites, or people that just want to assign their stuff to each other to avoid taxation and get a grab on benefits that were reserved for children of what used to be called normal families?
SICK SICK SICK!!!
What a filthy night this election is.

When I posted it, the WA SOS site said 100%, so I incorrectly figured they’d counted the votes already.....after all, it’s a mail-in absentee ballot state.

In any event, I agree with you it’s likely to pass.

Cascadia Subduction Zone; don’t forget Mt. Rainer.

That’s the problem in OR; they’ve got bupkis east of the Cascades. WA, yeah, there’s Spokane, Tri-Cities, Yakima, etc. Walla Walla even. Eastern Oregon? Pendelton?

If I were gonna run for office in OR, I’d make sure I’d be able to get about 70% of the PMA/Multnomah vote, and 50% of Clackamas County, and then ignore the rest of the state. And even then, I’d still win.

>>Working on bad info, apparently. Secretary of State’s office didn’t show any returns for 6 counties until 15 minutes ago. As usual, King County (Seattle) makes the decision for the entire state. Take King County out of the equation, this initiative would have gone down in flames.

And upheld that obscenity of a redistricting plan. Bad night all around.

The voters in the state of Washington approved in this last election a legal marijuana bill and a same sex marriage bill. It all makes sense now. Gay marriage & marijuana being legalized on the same day!
