Good to hear. We just have to keep on keeping on and fighting the good fight...
Ephesians 6:12 -
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
How has it been determined that evangelicals stayed home, this soon? Romney sure won the most conservative states with the highest number of evangelicals.
Painting with rather a broad brush, FRiend. I voted for the only person in the race I could (Virgil Goode). I did not sit at home. But I could not vote for an antichrist in any form, whether Marxist or Mormon. I am sad that God is asking us to endure four more years of Marxist misery, but delighted he has withheld us from a greater evil, the mainstreaminging of a soul destroying cult, whose damage isn’t measured in election cycles lost or even decades lost, but in eternities lost.
If you still object, consider Romans 12. Say you are the “liberated” Christian, absolutely confident it would not be sin for you to empower a man who sees himself as being a god in embryonic form. Fine. Your choice. What about those of us who cannot get past that, who find 2 john 1:9-11 compelling evidence that we should offer no support whatsoever to anyone who brings an antichrist gospel, which Mormonism clearly does? Would you have us destroy our consciences for your benefit? What was Paul’s position on meat offered to idols? While the world stood, he would not destroy his fellow believer over his own sense of freedom.
So while I do not expect essentially secular conservatives to ever understand or forgive us dissenters, I expect better things of those who make their fame from their commitment to the Gospel. You of all people should know that our being salt and light is simply a side effect of being faithful to Christ. We have no preservative effect in the world, no power of illumination, if we lose our ability to trust God and do what is right, no matter what. Those who have died to preserve our liberty have not died in vain, unless and until we stop using our freedom for good, for truth, and for the Gospel of salvation.
Peace,
SR
We as a nation got what we deserve. The GOP just happened to really get what they deserved. I wonder whose turn it is next time.
Bingo. You hit the nail on the head.
AMEN! Stupidity is never a virtue.i
Mormonism is a benign religious denomination. The description of it as a cult is religious superstition and fear run amuck. Who cares if Mormonism becomes mainstream? I could not care less! Mormons are moral people and good citizens. I do not give a fig if they are not “true Christians.” Some Evangelicals are such religious fanatics they think they are Gods CHOSEN and everyone else is unclean, demonic and damned. This blending of superstition and arrogance is just disgusting to me.
To all the people that voted FOR Obamaor STAYED HOME...WOE to you.
The Goode/Johnson votes made the difference in Virginia, Florida and Ohio. Thanks for helping to reelect Obama.
THANKS for hastening the decline of America! A vote for Virgil Goode??? OMG!! I guess you feel so GODLY!
If Jesus wasn’t real and if the stakes weren’t so high I would agree with you.
Evangelicals Vote RepublicanMormon or No Mormon
Poll: Obama surges ahead among Catholic voters - Washington Pos
You have believed the lies of Satan - and blew our last chnace of turning this nation around - we will not make it to 2016.
Im an Evangelical and know the Bible inside and out - do you not think that God could use an unbeliever like Mitt Romney to do His work here? If that is what you think then YOU dont know your Bible and shame on you.
- - - - - - -
What lies of Satan would those be? Mitt’s liberal record? Nope that’s a fact. Mitt’s heretical and BLASPHEMOUS theology? Nope that’s a fact, too. I used to be Mormon.
I can ask you the same thing, God used pagans to break Isreal and get them to repent. Why can’t God use Obama the same way? If you think that you don’t know the Bible as well as you think and I can pretty much bet I know it better than you.
Your comment that this was the last chance to turn this nation around shows a lack of faith in God on your part.
Trust God even in trials. I COULD not be a hypocrite and vote for either Mitt or Obama. I took it to God in prayer and believe I did what was right and in line with my Christian faith. Shame on your for criticizing that.
Screw the “Evangelicals” F em all. Ban me for all i care. Anyone who stayed home in 2012 to give obama four years is a piece of S$%.
I’m surprised you didn’t vote for Jesus then!! You’ve got NOTHING Reaganesque about you...he had common sense and brains!
True, they keep them at arm's length, and also tend to end up doing what the Dems did a few years ago.
Who the hell is Virgil Goode???
I didn’t stay home... I was working the polls as an officer of election....sent my vote in absentee
thx for obammey..thx very much...
children will be murdered, women raped, towns destroyed, perhaps widespread famine, riots, Israel destroyed, and then please go tell God you did it in HIS name?.......
you will be judged and not pleasantly, for your arrogance and your fake self righteousness..
- - - - -
Don’t blame me, blame the GOP elite. We have an electoral college, not a popular vote, my vote didn’t swing my state (red state).
And really, all those things would have happened under Romney too.
God will judge me but not for this. You are the one who is arrogant and self righteous. I’m following my Christian faith and not compromising. You however seem to be rolling over for an abortion loving, gay marriage loving, gun grabbing statist (to quote Boss man). I didn’t.
“To all the people that voted FOR Obamaor STAYED HOME...WOE to you.”
And woe to all of us because of the Anti-Morman vote.

Evangelical anti-Mormonism: A guide for Jews
Posted by Mark Paredes
It is my hope that Evangelical leaders will eventually choose to shut down the anti-Mormon industry and devote themselves to the exclusive preaching of their faith. Until they do, theyre not going to get any applause from me for their occasional praise of individual Mormons virtues. If I had to choose today between having Romney win with the support of pastors who think he belongs to a non-Christian cult, or having Obama win without it, I would toss a coin.

“My pastor got up the Sunday before the election day and did a sermon on how Mormanism is a cult. I am leaving this church as I think electing a Muslim is a worse sin. I was appalled”
I was wondering if this article was true until I read your comment.
Thank you for leaving that Church. I’m sure you will find a better one. Maybe someone needs to tell your old pastor that Obama thinks “the Muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound in the world.”
I think Mormonism is a cult, but Muslim is a much scarier and evil cult and if Obama isn’t an outright member, he is a Muslim sympathizer and supporter.
