I’ve done some campaigning for office. Once you get access to the voter rolls, it’s an eye opener. People you think are upstanding citizens aren’t registered. Obviously they haven’t voted. Meanwhile things are obviously going to hell. It’s people that don’t vote that are the problem.

I think 2010 showed there’s hope. We had a candidate, Romney, crammed down our throats. I think we need to focus on 2014 and the Senate. We still have the House. We need to pound on them to make sure they don’t go astray.

Once you’ve given up, you might as well eat a bullet.

I think the tipping point came with the Reagan tax cuts, not the cutting of rates, but the dropping of many more people form the tax roles altogether. Nearly half of Americans after that are tax consumers. It is in their interest to raise rates and borrow out the wazoo to tansfer wealth to them from the tax payers. That is, in fact, a market response, given that most people do not think long term at all. Add to that number the super-educated hi-IQ people who believe that they can see what problems are and can see solutions that they can implement that involve making everyone behave just so, and you have a majority for real Rule by the Elite. The conditions for this were set long ago when education became the responsibility of the government and inevitably of the Federal Government and actual education- the inculcation of skills and knowledge- was replaced by education for attitudes and to condition children to believe that the government can accomplish everything. The downgrading then eliminating of History cut off the population from any ability to compare the present with the past and to figure out what did not work in the past. Grammar also disappeared and thought processes become thereby less grounded in logic and reason and meanings became less and less concrete. The population lost the ability to think. I don't think there was ever a possibility of preventing the decline into tyranny. We had only the hope of putting it off a bit and of ameliorating the violence and famine that must inevitably result. Even the election just completed was a choice between essentially a Bolshevik and a Fabian, rapid decline or a gentler path to a slightly more distant precipice. The only way to regain a Republic is migration of the misfits to an empty new land. Antarctica anyone?

The dangerous thing is having a Marxist in power to “rebuild” after the crash.

McCain didn’t get more electoral votes than Romney though. McCain was beaten worse than Romney. I don’t know where the extra millions of votes were coming from for McCain..probably the Deep Red states but not the battleground states.

It’s difficult not to feel despair for our once-great country the morning after the election. Romney’s infamous 47% have now combined with the hippy losers of the 1960s to accelerate the decline of America from all our founders and forefathers envisioned for us. Moral, ethical, and fiscal soundness no longer matter to the majority. This makes me profoundly sad for the state of our country, and indeed, the world. No more will America be the bright beacon of liberty and opportunity. My gut reaction now is to turn inward and focus on the security of my much-loved family. The United States can look out for itself.

And if you start to play dirty you still lose - because the refs have already been paid off.

Out of the game you go.

“You and your vote” are no longer relevant to anything. The Democrat organization controls the touch screen machines. During the early vote machines in at least six states reported machines changing Romney votes to Obama. Those were surely the machines that were not quite properly programmed. A properly programmed machine would not have shown the change. We are Venezuela writ large. There is no possibility of doing anything about voting machine fraud because once the votes are “counted” there is no record of the vote left at all.

Might I add, use your money wisely. Do not go to the movies or patronize anything liberal; do not support monetarily any thing that is against your beliefs...I know many don’t think boycotts work but if nothing else, it gives a semblance of having some control over your life.

“America’s biggest problem isn’t fiscal decay; it’s moral decay. We’ve institutionalized child sacrifice, infidelity, homosexuality, indolence and irreverence. America won’t be blessed as it was until it changes. And that won’t happen unless it suffers and wakes up.”

That, my friend, is the essence of the situation.

Very sad, but true. I would add, “...suffers and wakes up AND REPENTS!”

Understood that that was implied in your post.

veritas, you expressed my sentiments exactly when I went to bed last night. I have also voted in my last national election. The state and local elections may not be that far behind. The national elections have been rigged. They have been rigged by an educational system that values “feelings” over rational thought and critical thinking. They have been rigged by a culture that values greed, envy, instant gratification and personal gain against the ethics of faith, work, and sacrifice. They have been rigged by a national propaganda complex of “news” and entertainment organs that shape events.

0bama is not the architect of these things, he is only the result. An empty suit who was placed in a position of power by historical forces that have been brewing for over a generation.

The “elections” are Potemkin-village window dressings now. “It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.” A quote from Joseph Stalin.

The GOP will be kept around for a generation or so as part of the window dressing. But after our generation has passed, there will only be one party. The trend is not our friend.

This is my last time too... not the last time I vote, but the last time I listen to the “Vote for my guy or you are just electing the other guy” crowd.

My vote is now based upon the candidate that best represents my views and beliefs ( I harped that this election I was gonna do that, and changed my mind. What did that get me?).

If the freepers and others who were refusing to vote for the socialist lite did just that, we could have made a statement that maybe the gop-e would have heard.

Instead, I once again listened to others, and basically threw my vote away.

Never again..

I think that says it all. All the organizing and politics will not bring the country back. Until we repent, things will just get worse. Policies are not a return to God albeit they useful for a time. God will determine who lives here and under what system. He apparently for ever reason (probably 56 million abortions) thinks we have ticked him off enough. I wasn't going to post again, but I have to say that you have articulated exactly how I feel and think today.

The race and class warfare practiced by the current administration on the results of thirty plus years of indoctrination by the public school system as an organ of the Department of Education, has left our country with a ignorant assembly of takers, who have absolutely no understanding of costs.

They will have a peachy time, until they run out of our money.

I will take my civilian and military pensions and the 401k funds that I have put away since they were introduced and live my life and take care of my wife and son.

At this point my husband and I are with you, and we are only in our forties.

We have a God-hating, pervert-loving, economy-destroying, America/Israel-hating Marxist in the White House. We had a candidate with gobs of money and momentum; “experts” from state governors (Kasich!) and local ground people to TV talking heads guaranteeing a win; polls that favored us; and record turnout. And yet we still could not beat Obama.

The country is increasingly brown, increasingly entitlement-hungry, and increasingly stupid. My formerly great state of Virginia went blue. If Republicans couldn’t win this time around, when will they win again? I’m not seeing the point of it anymore.

Good Morning to all.

There are some very good comments here about picking ourselves up and not giving up - and of course that is the thing for all of us to do. Take a few days and get some distance from the shock.

I'd like to add something into the mix that I have not yet seen presented.

Our young men and women in the military face greater challenges and danger than the rest of us ever come close to facing. They don't give up when the going gets tough. They band together and defeat the foe, time and time again as we have done for hundreds of years under circumstances that make ours laughable by comparison.

So, take a deep breath, thank God that you are still alive to enjoy another day, lick your wounds and move ahead with purpose.

Stay strong for all the Patriots who came before you, for the ones fighting today, and for those yet to come.

Grow a pair, don't give up and allow evil to win.

This is your quote...”Now grow up and stop throwing temper tantrums. Overcome. All of them: the press, the Socialist-Liberal Democrats. The letter agencies. The religious left. All of them.”

You come on here and insult and abuse people who just lost an election; playing by the rules, doing the best they could. You give them nothing but cliches and your loathesome self righteousness.

You are a jerk and a fool, and you are nobody’s “elder” but your own.

I have three grandchildren. When I see them next at Thanksgiving I will encourage each of them NEVER to fight inthis country’s military - either as volunteers or if conscripted. In the latter case, they should ex-patriate.

There was a time when I thought our country was worth fighting and dying for. No more. We have thoroughly disrespected our military.

When the Vice Presidential candidate says to the father of a murdered Seal that “his balls must have been the size of cueballs” and that canddiate is re-elected to office, no one should ever consider serving our country in the military. The people do not deserve the kind of loyalty and bravery they give. Sorry, but I have reached my limits. This nation has made its choice. It’s over.

The dance and sing on TV watchers crowd has voted. The give me my free phone crowd has voted. The I voted for the ‘Nigerian’ because I’m one has voted.

All is well with those that wish to enclose Sharia Law into this country founded on Freedom. All is well with those that just want anyone speaking a truth different than that spoken by Obama, to shut up. All is well for those that have decided for you, how your doctor will take care of you. All is well for those that believe that you do not need to keep food in your house, defend your life from the thief, and do things for yourself.

No one is concerned with national security, or really understand what that term means. No one is concerned with the dignity of the nation. No one is concerned about where all the money is going to come from, because it comes from the government. No one is concerned about the dignity, valor, pride, and patriotism displayed by our military across the globe, because what are we fighting for, but Bush’s oil? No one is concerned that everything that made America what she was, prior to the ‘Nigerian’s’ first term.

So, with a sick heart, and all my 60 years of fond memories, and a remembrance of pride defending my country from what she now has become, I will remove myself from the saltbox, before I am arrested and tasered for disturbing the peace and spewing the language of hate.

All those ‘Nigerians’ can have and do what they think America is, to them. May they all, and this includes the head ‘Nigerian In Charge’, have children that are found sterile, so that their entire group shall be lessened, and the next group can, maybe, realize what happened.

You assume we'll be on the side against radical Islam. The war with radical Islam has long been occurring under our noses. Last night, they won. With the number of muslims already in our government there is good reason to believe those appoinments with increase rapidly in the coming months. I, too, turned 70 this last summer. Even if I survive to 2016, I’m afraid I won’t see another election. The stage is now set for the installation of a president-for-life. With a packed Supreme Court of uber-liberals, we can look for repeals of the II and XXII amendments.

You keep going. Take care of you and yours. Keep your funds for you and yours. To the extent that you can, of course. Let your charity be for you and yours.

To the extent that you can, don’t directly support the admin or it’s goals or it’s voters, at all. You probably already have such a policy.

Let those that want to depend on the Obama admin, do so. When they need some charity, tell them to get it from the gov’t. Explain to them that it’s free, so there’s no need for you to reach into your own pocket. :-)
