Way too defeatist. Romney lost because the economy, while anemic, is recovering from the recession of 2008 due to a Federal debt binge and money-printing by the central bank, and Obama is getting the credit, just as Bush got the credit for the boom that followed 9/11, as Greenspan opened the credit spigots and Congress practically forced banks to lend to NINJA (no income, no jobs or assets) borrowers. When the inevitable economic crash occurs before 2016, the GOP will be in a position to participate in another wave election like Obama’s in 2008, but this time in the GOP’s favor.
Not to be too pessimistic, but By 2016 even if that were to happen, and considering the end results yesterday, the only guys we will be running for the R ticket will be the likes of Chris Christie or ex RINO Jeb Bush. GOP may have one last shot of winning, but the idea of conservatism still being a part of the party platform is hard to imagine as the GOP-E will shift hard left just to compete. Dinesh D’Sousas Obama’s America 2016 might still come to fruition.
Illegal immigrants will be granted amnesty and be allowed to vote! Criminals will be well treated by the left and allowed to vote! Islam will rule the U.S.! The left will cheat, too, to maintain political power, for the long term! The idea that the GOP and conservatives will be able to, actually, turn things around, soon, is pure fantasy! IT’S OVER FOR THE GOP AND U.S. CONSERVATISM, UNTIL AND UNLESS THERE’S A TOTAL, OFFICIAL COLLAPSE OF EVERYTHING ON THE LEFT’S SIDE! BTW, my longtime tagline continues to ring true.
Denial is the first stage of grief.
America can’t be saved.
Through this entire election, all the right-wing mavens from Will to Barone to Hewitt to Medved, were whistling past the graveyard, all for what? To raise a few bucks for the dying corpse of “conservatism”?
I have a better idea, Mr. and Mrs. White Middle Class Conservative. Save your money. You’ll need it as the Depression continues to unfold.
When the Right finally wakes up and realizes its a permanent minority in the new Amerika, then things will start to get interesting.
If we do not see a serious seccesionist movement in this country by 2030 at the latest, I will be shocked. Seccessionist movements are springing up all over Europe as their financial crisis deepens and ours is just getting started.
