yes sad but true. there was a time when it even out because married women voted more conservative but hey who is married any more? the government has worked hard to destroy the family in order to have all the minorities and females depend on them as big daddy/husband for help. And at the same time push overly sexual behavior to insure illegitimate kids, abortion, and free birth control remain an big concern for these single females.

It’s not just illegal immigration but LEGAL immigration as well. Republicans have done nothing since 1965 when Ted Kennedy pushed through the Immigration Act and set the ball rolling for an eventual non-white America.

“2) Surprisingly Republican turnout was not that great.

Romney lost OH by 100K votes. PA by 250K or so. FL will be loss of about 10K more or less.

I was always given the impression by Rove, Morris, Barone, and other conservative pundits ( and even Rasmussen ) that the GOP enthusiasm was GREATER than the Democrats and turnout would be great. Not so.”

it was not just those guys....most on Freep understandably thought there would be a larger turnout by the GOP- hence the reason we thought the polls were skewed...

“3) Obama lost over 4 million votes from 2008 and STILL WON.”

i actually believe that number is more like 7 million less votes...he got 66mill in ‘08 compared to barely 59mill last night...GWB received more votes in ‘04 than obama last night...

“4) The final Rasmussen Poll had a D+2 turnout model. It looks like for each point the Dems were over D+2, one point went to Obama (if Rasmussen’s turnout model is correct ).”

bottom line is all these predictions and hopes of a large GOP turnout were false- another case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...if the GOP came out in force and voted, Romney is president today regardless of the number of women and minorities who voted for the POS in the WH...

Thread also could be titled:
Obama’s winning coalition of two groups that the founders never intended to vote.

But of course, we can’t remember those parts of history. only the PC parts.

The coalition of the racists and the stupid won last night.

They are in the majority.

And the rest of us will have to suffer because the GOP establishment insisted on pimping on us a liberal, me too horrible candidate who agreed with the Democrats on everything.

America didn’t get a real choice last night. It never had one.

My sainted grandmother used to talk about America rejecting God and the consequences.

50 years hence, America has a profound moral problem. Could there be a connection?

No, the winning coalition consisted of the badly misinformed, the dangerously naive, the fundamentally stupid, and the flat out corrupt. That combo crosses racial and gender lines.

There is no way the GOP should be losing the Asian vote. Asian immigrants are very entrepreneurial and usually very conservative socially, making them a group ideally suited for the Republican party. If the GOP can’t connect with them, then they have serious issues. One of the reasons why the Canadian Conservative party has been so successful in recent years has been its ability to make inroads with the east and south asian communities, by recruiting candidates and emphasizing small government, lower taxes and support for small business.

I would like to learn more about the veracity of this conjecture. Anecdotally, it does not seem to be true in California. Most single women seem quite happy in that state and I sense no desperation from them in needing to find a marriage partner, at least if they are under 30 or so (and so at that age they have had 12 or so years to find a partner). I’m not a woman but I presume finding a marriage partner is not terribly more difficult than finding a boyfriend (which seems to me to be a lot easier than for a guy to find a girlfriend, or maybe I am just missing something lol). Also this seems to be a worldwide phenomenon, at least in industrialized nations, excluding certain minorities, some of whom tend to marry early and some of whom don’t marry or divorce but have kids anyway.

You’re right about that split. But single women don’t want someone to take care of them, they just want someone who can at least acknowledge their challenges.

Take equal pay, a huge issue with women in the workplace. Came up in the debate. Obama said yeah we need to help ensure that. Romney was lost, never committed that he was for helping women with equal pay. Even if he believes there is no role for the feds in equal pay, he should have supported it in a stronger way.

Next up is education, another women issue. Romney said if you need money go to your parents. That was highly publicized and too late for him to set the record straight. A stupid, stupid remark.

The pocketbook candidate lost single women on those two pocketbook issues. Abortion had little to do with it.

And also accounts for Romney states representing 7 out of 10 and 16 out of 25 of the states with the highest proportion of children in single parent homes!

Class warfare and contraception. A winning Democrat combination.

Best two sentence analysis of this election I've seen. What goes on in the minds of these people? Rational, logical arguments are incapable of reaching them. And they're without a shred of patriotism. Or rather, they define patriotism as free government birth control. Can a republic survive if this is how the majority of its citizens function? History says "no." Our day of reckoning is coming.

Thank you.

IMHO, this election, the 2008 election and the Clinton years were lost beginning in 1988, when the GOP capitulated to Dem demands for ever increased spending and failed to educate (and continually reeducate) the public on the benefits of low taxes, free markets and the originalist view of the Constitution.

It didn't help that there was absolutely no attempt to explain the true genesis of the economic/housing collapse that started the last two Bush years and point out that it aligned with the Dems retaking Congress.

Nothing will change until the GOP rights those wrongs and corrects history

Ask most of these racist blacks if they;re for ilegals, homosexuality etc and they’;re all saying no and yet they vote because obama was not white and where IS TH EMEDIA AND THEIR COVERAGE OF RACISM BY THESE BLACK VOTERS?

Yea like every issue the media ignores and just does an agenda

Rubio would have given us hispanics and FL and probably VA, CO, NM,\\

agreed and yet we still get ignorant idiots , even on our side which keep saying they have no problem wiht homosexual marriage.

They can;t see the bigger picture or agenda because all they care about is themselves and not this country.

The left have worked hard to destry the fmaly as the commies back in the 60’s knew that the family was the backbone of the country and they had to destroy it by changing marriage and family to all sorts of perverted sick crap

When some on our side stopped thinking the world is about them and homosexuals marriage is not just about marriage then we can start to fight back for this country.

The problem is that Romney’s answer about equal pay in the debate, about job flexibility so that women could take care of children and other family members, is actually much of the reason why there is a pay gap between men and women. Women choose jobs that have shorter hours and give them for flexibility. So Romney actually was speaking to the problem in a far more sophisticated way that advocating a mandate, but the narrate has been so controlled by the left, I’m guessing few people got that. You apparently didn’t.

As for paying for college, he spoke to that, too, including talking about the policies that they had in Massachusetts to help kids go to college but, again, it didn’t fit the media narrative where the only write answer was that the government should just pay for it all.

If I told this story before, indulge me because it bears re-telling.

Back in ‘07, I was involved in a major Nat’l Guard FTX. We had people from all over east of the Mississippi meet at Leavenworth for the event.

As we were headed for chow, a group of out-of-staters started a political bull session. Some of them (backeasters) started in on how the Constitution is flawed, should be a living document, etc.

So I joined in. My question was this: “Which of the Amendments to the Constitution has caused the most damage to the nation?”

Thoughtful stares followed. One fool said the First. Of course, the Second came up. A few scratched their heads. One genius said the Eighth.

I replied, “You’re all wrong. It was the Nineteenth.”

Blank stares.

“All of this nation’s ills, foreign and domestic, past present and future, can be traced back to the moment we gave women the right to vote.”

And there were sage nods from the throng...

Obama got 74% of the Asian vote and 69% of the Hispanic vote. That is an enormous problem for the GOP in the future. Demographics is destiny...

And we can't forget...Obama probably got 100% of the Muslim vote. In areas like Northern VA, with its huge Muslim population, that makes quite a difference. This is most certainly why Obama acted as he did about Benghazi, he did not want to offend his Muslim base of support. And the media knew that, and did not want to do anything to criticize Obama's handling of the attack, certainly not before the elections when those Muslim votes were so important.

For 30 years, the frauds from both parties flooded the country with tens of millions of socialist foreigners and illegal aliens...While big gov public schools brain washed the youngsters.

And you’re now surprised?

I believe this is the greatest crime ever committed against the American people, yet a sizable number apparently celebrate it.

While the GOP can do little about the racist vote they certainly can regain women voters by leaving the maternity issue out of politics.

As for illegals, just shut up about it and enforce the laws when/if they ever get in a position of power.

Romney was a poor choice but the ignorant, belligerent idiots that refused to get out and vote due to “principle” deserve scorn and belittlement.

I was very interested by the study found here:
http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1901654

according to this paper, in their sampling of about a million male voters and using the 2008 election, Total registered versus total citizens voting: 86.2% of White men were registered to vote; of that only some 60% actually voted. 75% of Black men were registered to vote, but only about 45% voted. And 67% of Hispanic men were registered but only about 40% voted.

Now even deducting a few percentage points for the elderly or infirm voter, or those ‘on the fringe’, we’re still left with a significant percentage of registered, non-felon, male citizen voters that simply don’t vote.

What can we do as a party to woe these guys over?

Time to turn back the clock when it comes to voting rights. Yes, I’m perfectly serious.

I've long said (1) a great starting point for "change" would be to repeal every Amendment after XV.

And, (2) more than any other, Amendment XIX marked the beginning of the end.

Conservative, Bible-believing, godly "Proverbs 31" women tend to agree enthusiastically. Others, not so much. :)

What, do we have to send you to re-education camp or something? It looks like they’re already at the top of the male voting bell curve. What you’re asking would be like asking how we could improve Asian males’ math SAT scores. Instead your focus should be on ‘no voter left behind’ and ‘vote to the top’ initiatives. Jeesh! ;-)

"When America’s obituary is written in the very near future, it will say, “Died from plantation owners not willing to pick their own cotton, farmers importing cheap labor and giving women the right to vote.” RIP"

Yep. The plantation owners, helping foreign, communist enemies to destroy the USA by moving our manufacturing economy to them, used feminism to prevent small, new competition (from other families) from starting. Broken families don't stay on their feet very well and aren't nearly as likely to start truly productive businesses (small manufacturing shops).

They also prevent new manufacturing shops on the local levels with attacks false radical environmentalists--usually employees, former employees, family members, friends--in commissioners' meetings, state legislatures and the like (see "open space," "property values," also HOAs, etc.).

How Dramatically Did Women's Suffrage Change the Size and Scope of Government?

JOHN R. LOTT Jr.
American Enterprise Institute (AEI) (download links for whole document at bottom of page)

September 1998

University of Chicago Law School, John M. Olin Law & Economics Working Paper No. 60
Journal of Political Economy, Vol. 107, Number 6, Part 1, pp. 1163-1198, December 1999

Abstract:
This paper examines the growth of government during this century as a result of giving women the right to vote. Using cross-sectional time-series data for 1870 to 1940, we examine state government expenditures and revenue as well as voting by U.S. House and Senate state delegations and the passage of a wide range of different state laws. Suffrage coincided with immediate increases in state government expenditures and revenue and more liberal voting patterns for federal representatives, and these effects continued growing over time as more women took advantage of the franchise. Contrary to many recent suggestions, the gender gap is not something that has arisen since the 1970s, and it helps explain why American government started growing when it did.

Have fun. Enjoy the economic slide and default process. It won't stop, until such immoral tactics stop. No sale.

As for contemporary politics, participants (socialists on all sides) make their adulterous bed. They'll lay in it.

The bill for birth control is a population unable to sustain itself, and it will come due in the next 40 years.

The bill for reliance upon government as the surrogate husband (destruction of the family & true marriage) is a government and people unable to sustain themselves, and evermore devoid of tangible freedom.

It is funny democrats have been so worried about the sustainability of the environment(which is always changing anyway) while they ignore our own demographics, and the absoutly devastating effect that has on our future. I know from talking to many of them that is their plan. I guess they don’t yet graps how many problems these things are going to get and how Bad bad can get.

Leftist have always been challenged in understanding the system of interrelation of systems. Just as they have religiously refused to accept the wisdom of time(tradition) & God(bible).

The unfortunate fact is unless we find a way to cut ourselves off from them and from a new free country of patriots we will be dragged down thou theses lessiosn the hard way with them. (thanks a lot Obama voters)
