Paul Ryan won't be helping Mitt Romney lead the country in a new direction from the White House. But the Wisconsin congressman famous for his small-government budget blueprints has emerged from his first national race with high visibility and a top spot on any list of 2016 presidential prospects.

That’s a great point, which tells me that he likely has no future as a candidate on a national ticket.

I like Ryan. How about Ryan become a governor first - get some exec experience and give Governor Walker a chance for 2016?

I like that idea. Walker has demonstrated the ability to get stuff done, in the face of screaming opposition from the Dems. Ryan needs seasoning, meanwhile. Maybe start out as Lt Gov, and take over for Walker when it's time for him to make his run?

I like Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin who stood firm and fought the unions despite threats on his life and destruction of the state capitol by union thugs. He risked it all to save jobs and taxpayer’s money and he won the recall too.
Walker is a scrapper and we need strong fighters that will not cave to dems. I also like Sen. Jim DeMint of SC. Two men that I hold in very high regard but unfortunately...I don’t think the gop establishment feels the same about DeMint as he has ruffled their feathers more than once..

Still surprised Wisconsin went for Obama. Kept hearing about the strong Republican ground game in the state left over from the Walker recall effort.

You are right about the Chicago Machine gone national. I pray Boehner does not decide to “compromise.” What they did in Illnois was eliminate any Republican for fiscal conservativism, thru gerrymandering or otherwise. They keep the RINO’s who will go along with their tax/spend schemes. We are so screwed.....

Jindal and Rubio are both Constitutionally ineligible to serve as VP or Prez.

They were both born in the US, but their parents were still citizens of foreign countries at the time.

I heard some idiots on TV today saying maybe Jeb Bush is a possibility. Hell no!!! He’s an amnesty advocate!
