I looked on my ballot for Jesus’ name, but I never saw it. “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s.” Jesus taught us about government. He didn’t say, “Vote for me and I’ll reduce your taxes.” He was pointing out that worldly government was not his concern. It is amazing how many Christian Pharisees we have. Obama will teach you about not voting. You won’t like it.

You are right about the Red vs. blue areas of the country.

Unfortunately the urban population centers outnumber us and they want what we’ve got. All we can do now is hunker down and wait for them to try to take it.

I’ll be ready.

I wonder if Gallup took an identical poll substituting the word “Black” for “Mormon?”

I'll guess they didn't, because the no-vote numbers would have been much lower for Blacks.

The long lines in NYC were due to evacuees being shunted to other polling places. We had eleven extra E.D.s (precincts) at my polling place and three-hour waits in line. Also, trained poll workers could not get to their places and so untrained ones seem to have been substituted, which held up the lines.

At my E.D. they were taking fifteen minutes with each person. Couldn’t find the name. Oh, let’s look again. Meanwhile, I was telling them the guy didn’t live in the district because I heard him state his address. The other worker was telling people laboriously how to use the paper ballot because “we’ve never used them before,” whereas they had been in use through three elections.

Just for starters. There’s more.

Where in my post does it say that I didn’t vote? I simply gave a theory. I’d love your answer to this Mr. or Mrs. Holier than thou since religion is no factor in your perfect world of voting:
If all you knew about two candidates was that one was a Muslim and one was a Christian, how would you vote and why?
Would you simply flip a coin or would where someone puts their faith actually matter to a ‘pharisee’ like you?

You can’t claim that their bias was not a major factor, can you?

I think that is a given on FR, but you are certainly correct. The Eternally Dying Dinosaur Media ate our lunch once again.

I would have all come to know the life-giving power found in Jesus’ blood. But the way is narrow. We do not have heaven on earth. But that doesn’t mean I want all to live in misery. Obama is giving us misery. He will give us four more years of misery. Your original post is judgmental. I am a Christian and I voted for Romney. If you have some scriptural reasons for wanting Obama to be our President for the next four years, then I am willing to read them. I have quoted Jesus and given what I believe to be his decision on this matter.

The problem is... If no one touches it, America’s economy will die.

If we touch it, we lose elections and death comes sooner, with unknowable consequences. Delaying the inevitable is a good thing when it comes to death.

Rick Santorum connected with the people, and Romney did not so much, but many people demonized Rick because he was not their candidate. So we got Romney, and now we still have Obama. Horrible!!

Geez, my original post still stands. I was merely giving a theory. I am also a Christian and I voted for Romney but I would understand someone staying home (or maybe writing in a protest vote) because Romney is a heretic and a liberal (in this case including pro abortion and gay agenda). And the fact that you didn't answer my question about voting for a Muslim vs. a Christian tells me that deep down you understand my point as well. As a Mormon, Romney believes that by his deeds he can become a god. Becoming president would look pretty good on that resume. And it seems, based on his past stances, that there is no principal he wouldn't compromise to achieve that end.

It was in the bag for Barak before the election was over. He knew it, that’s why he played basketball election day. That’s why he told all those bold-faced lies his last election stop. That’s why he acted as the first debate was soooo inconveinencing for him.

Well, after our liberal pals get their Four More Years — that is, IF there are still such things as elections as we even knew them earlier this week — we should be hollering, screaming at whoever runs to not forget the ground game. If crowds of zombie voters can be summoned, then crowds of live voters surely can too.

I didn’t answer your question because it’s theoretical. It’s not real. What I have found on FR is that there are a group of people who like to join in the debate just for the fun of it. I was arguing with someone about abortion. I am strongly against abortion. Some guy popped in to the argument and said that in Old Testament days, some Jews had sacrificed their babies. Historically, he is correct. I believe he was against abortion. What he did was provide ammunition to the pro-abortion person. So, then I was trying to defend against abortion with the other side claiming, “See! Even the Jews kill babies!” He didn’t mean to screw up my argument, but he did. I grew up with Mormons. My Best Man at my wedding is a Mormon. I understand full well the inconsistencies of their beliefs. Having been around Mormons for years, I would point out that at least now, they acknowledge Jesus Christ. Maybe they will eventually join us as a fully Christian church. I pray that it will happen. Mormons are good neighbors and citizens. They tend to be very conservative. Politics used to be about selecting the best person for a job. The best person was the one who would get the most effective and efficient use out of the taxpayer’s hard earned dollars. That is not how the Democrat party sees politics. They see politics as a means of making money. Republicans who did not vote in this election ceded the Presidency and the Senate to the Democrats. The Democrats denied God three times at their convention. The Republicans didn’t. Romney was nominated at the Republican convention. Obama was nominated at a convention that three times denied God. It seems pretty simple to me which party believes in God and which party loathes God. Your original post would seem to indicate some agreement with Republicans who did not vote in this election. I would crawl to my polling place to vote against a party that loathes God and Christianity. I don’t see that loathing in Romney. It is apparent to me that the Democrats won the Presidency and the Senate because many Republican voters stayed home for this election. If they stayed home because Romney is a Mormon, then they’ve helped elect people from a party that three times renounced God at their convention. This election is going to have serious consequences. Posting comments that would appear to support people not voting against the Democrats is probably not helpful.

These people don’t loathe God, they don’t believe he exists (at least as the bible says), and consequently they follow their own idols, JUST LIKE MORMONS! And just like you wouldn’t vote for such a party, it’s reasonable to understand Christians not voting for a heretic! Thanks for making my point.

Also, what’s with the cop out in not answering my question because it’s not ‘real’. This isn’t a court deposition. I’m just making a point. I think any honest Christian would instantly answer that they would vote for the Christian over the Muslim without knowing anything else. The simple point is that it is not unreasonable for religion to play a role in how a human votes.
