The writer of this article is under the false impression that Democrats care about this nation.

They only care about power.

What we can hope for is gridlock.

Two years from now we will have big wins.

No we won't.

Read this for why I say that.

The GOP’s been trying to marginalize conservatives within the party for decades now, blaming their woes and losses on us. Wasn’t long ago that McCain was on the Senate floor railing against the “Hobbits” holding back progress.

I really think Romney was supposed to prove that the GOP no longer needs the conservative vote as he’d appeal to enough moderates and independents to win and conservatives could FINALLY be marginalized once and for all.

Didn’t work that way and no doubt they’ll blame it on us again, despite most of us sucking it up and heading to the polls for yet another RINO.

Well, no matter now. It’s done and all that’s left to do is live the consequences of our actions.

This sentence displays a TOTAL lack of reality based thought,”The purpose of the bills would be to create an environment where Republicans and Democrats would work together to pass bills that help America.”

Just where are these bills that help America? If they really exist the Democrats will refuse to vote for them, they only vote for the destruction of America.

There is a nugget here I’ll agree with, and that’s in our messaging. We see the cold, hard facts and react to them, but for most people, they’re just numbers with no meaning. We, as a group, need to personalize the issues — not pander or change our positions, but instead explain them in a way that connects on an emotional level as well as a logical one.

It does no good to talk about “23 million people who are underemployed or unemployed” or the size of the debt to most people. It’s an abstraction, nothing concrete to them, despite being actual fact. Talk to them about how they and their neighbors are struggling to make ends meet, how college grads can’t find jobs, how all the government borrowing makes every item they buy more expensive.

Be ready to back things up with facts. But the appeal needs to be on the visceral level.
