Report: Jackson Jr. in talks over plea deal By Meghashyam Mali - 11/08/12 08:14 AM ET

Illinois Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D) is in talks over a possible plea deal to resolve an investigation into alleged misuse of campaign funds, according to a report.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Wednesday that Jackson is discussing the matter with federal officials who have launched a probe into allegations that the Democratic lawmaker used campaign funds to redecorate his house.

That probe is separate from another inquiry into former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's attempt to sell President Obama's former Senate seat. Jackson has denied wrongdoing in that matter.

Jackson has been on an extended absence from Capitol Hill to undergo treatment for depression at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

The nine-term lawmaker left Washington in mid-June, revealing two months later that he was being treated for bipolar disorder. He returned to the capital briefly in September, but readmitting himself to the Mayo to continue his treatment.

Jackson, easily won reelection on Tuesday, despite not campaigning.

The allegations into misuse of campaign funds first surfaced in October, when the Wall Street Journal reported that the FBI and U.S. attorney’s office were spearheading the investigation.

Steal, feign illness, pretend to get treatment, wait and see if Obama elected, Obama justice dept. for absolution.

His daddy was a gangster and knew exactly how to play the game and so does the son.

None of these people ever worked a day in their lives. It is a sweet deal if you can get it. Soon the deal will only be available to blacks and hispanics.

It is the new Amerika.

*** Amazing how this comes out just after the election. ***

He still would have been reelected. His (cough) 'main constituents' (1) all have Obamaphones, are gang-bangers, flash mob yutes, crack hos, and all have section eight 'assistance'. The morons knew he's mentally ill and wasn't in congress doing his job since June and was still reelected wit something like 60% of the vote.

Or they didn't know since they're all illiterate, makes no difference. JJ Jr could have been indicted for the mass murder of twenty grandmothers in a nursing home and he'd STILL have been reelected.

(1) There's a portion of his district that covers some white south suburbs but it's mainly in Da Hoods of Chicago.

Sorta like true believers for Obama. No amount of proof will ever be enough.

On a lighter note, Marion Barry, the four-term mayor of Washington, D.C., was re-elected to his Ward 8 city council seat, representing the poorest residents of the District. We can look forward to more comic criminality and abuse of adoring supporters, brought to you by the reprobate who uttered the immortal words, “Bitch set me up!”

What a moron. Everyone knows that all you have to do is hire your wife as a campaign consultant and pay her a big six figure salary and it’s all perfectly legal.
