As terrible as it is to have to lose to a bum like Odouchebag, as big or bigger disappointment were the Senate races. We threw away to gimme Senate seats (MO and IN) because of bonehead candidates who couldn't keep their stupid mouths shut when it came to a "gotcha" issue (rape and abortion). Yes, I know they were Tea Party favorites, but the truth is the truth, and these candidates were politically stupid to say the things they said in the way that they said them.

Then there were the "sure pickups" in ND and MT. We lost them both. We couldn't beat that idiot Stabenow in MI. Tommy Thompson lost in WI. Basically all the Senate races that were within our grasp slipped away. That is a facet of this disaster of an election that hasn't got much attention.

Look the day that a WHITE, SUCCESSFUL, WEALTHY, UNHIP GUY gets elected might be around never... people vote today in a POP CULTURE SOCIAL MEDIA kind of way. The Liberals and Democrats are so much better at that game and build so many coalitions through that structure. Here in California the GOP is gone. I can find few outside my Orange County town of Newport and it is just NOT in VOGUE here to even say Republican.

The Demographic face of America has changed and you either change with it accordingly or it leaves you.

Akin WAS NOT a Tea Party candidate. In fact, His opponents Brunner and Steelman both had Tea Party support during the primary while Akin DID NOT!

The Republicans lost at least three house races due to Libertarian candidates in Arizona and Utah where their votes were 3-6 percent of the totals:

Jonathan Paton AZ-1, lost 45.4-48.6 percent, Libertarian 5.9%
Vernon Parker AZ-9, lost 46.1-47.4 percent, Libertarian 6.3%
Mia Love, UT-4, lost 48.1-49.3 percent, Libertarian 2.6%
