Boycott Companies Advertising on MSM Channels
Vanity | 11/8/12 | Go Gordon

I'm not a huge supporter of boycotts, but I thought an effort to get the MSM news outlets to not be an extension of the Democrats was to hurt themin the pocketbook. If we generate a list of the advertisers during news programs on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and/or CBS, then write two sets of letters:

1) letters to the advertisers announcing a complete boycott of all of their products and services, including cancellations of existing relationships BECAUSE OF MEDIA BIAS on the part of the networks.

2) letters to the networks announcing the same thing. If they continue being a mouthpiece for the democrats, their sponsers will not see a nickle of business from conservatives

Everything that you own is made by someone that at some time advertised somewhere that you wouldn’t approve.

Years ago I compiled a list of retail stores that were judged "taboo" by various FReepers. Very quickly (less than 2 months) there was no place left to shop. BTW both Apple and Microsoft are off limits, so the only usable computer is Linux.

Exactly. My experience was many years back with, I believe, the American Family Association or something. They had dozens of companies to boycott, a glossy newsletter and tons of donors. They were eliminating every product in the supermarket. Anyone following their recommendations would have been homeless in six months. They may still be around.

We increased our rates today. Time to get ready for increased costs to do business. Also called our Mass marketing rep and cancelled programs with this supplier. Told CT salesman he is done Dec 31st. Next move may be to layoff everyone else and go back to my business partner and myself. We worked out of our home offices for 5 years.

if you weren’t gonna buy something, that isn’t a boycott. a boycott is when you refrain from buying a product or patronizing a business that you normally would have used.
it isn’t a boycott if you never used the service, or the product. they have to feel the loss of revenue for the boycott to work. losing business they never had isn’t a boycott.

real boycotts hurt.

Great idea. the only effective way to hurt the msm is to cut their revenue.

I’m glad I found this post because I was going to open a vanity post on the subject of BOYCOTTS.

I live in the state of Missouri and I’m in the mortgage business. The other day I attended a closing and in the midst of it I found out that the owner of the title company voted for 0bama.

I could not believe it. This is the nicest guy, soft spoken, intelligent, has always done a good job for me. And on a side note, he is a white middle-aged man who has several employees.

He was sitting there, totally peaceful and happy with life while I’m thinking the whole world will collapse around me in the next four years. And in that moment I determined that I will take action, no matter how small, to make a difference.

So from now on, this title company will NOT get any more loans from me. (and believe me, they have gotten a lot of business from me in the past.)

Then, I saw on another thread, that people are boycotting any car manufacturers who are unionized, and since I need a new car in the next year, I will pay close attention to where my car was made.

Then I found out that WALMART sent a huge donation to 0bama, and since then I’ve been avoiding Walmart as much as possible. I live in a small town and I used to get everything, from groceries to household supplies to printer cartridges at Walmart. NO MORE!!!

It’s more complicated now, I have to visit several smaller stores to buy what I need and also pay more for it, but I gladly pay that price.

So, I’m not just interested in who advertises where, I’m interested in my daily life, who supported the re-election of 0bama. I WILL BOYCOTT THEM !!
