Because they chose not to vote for “love of country”.

It shouldn’t be long before we get to see how they like the results.... I suspect they won’t.

“Got any suggestions?”

Yeah 1. Change the primary system so that if a candidate docent get 50.1% of the vote he/she doesn't get all of a states delegates. They are awarded proportionally and the nomination is fought out at the convention if need be.

2. Stand for something ABO was a stupid strategy, regular not hyperpartisian, folks for for a candidate they don't vote against someone.

3. Go back to Reagan's three legged chair model, nominate a candidate who appeals to the social, fiscal small government and military conservatives.

4. Also take Reagan's eleventh commandment to heart, the GOP has got to stop demonizing those conservatives, especially the Christian social conservatives who they may not agree with. Look at this board the harshest criticisms I have seen of Christians has come from the Romney/GOPe bots..that's lunacy and no way to make friends and influence people....

5. If the GOP want conservatives they need to be a conservative party not dim lite.

We elect a republican president, Federal spending and debt goes up, regulations become more onerous, we become less free.

Bingo.

So now, why is it exactly that the ONE candidate who actually says this is despised by all? That would be Ron Paul.

Now maybe, just maybe ... he was on to something there. Food for thought.

I guess I figured that since I finally decided to hold my nose and vote for a GOPe guy one more time, that everyone else did, too, even though we were all deeply disappointed in the choice. I was apparently mistaken.

Palin warned the GOP over and over and over and over and over and over and over that unless it adopted Ron Paul’s agenda on money, freedom, etc - we were going to lose.

Guess she was right.

Here’s an idea.

Start a third conservative party [HOLD ON KEEP READING]

Before every major election suggest to the GOPe that we partner with them, on our terms.

Over time the conservative party would grow, the GOP would whither.

Maybe they are dead and weren't replaced.

I've had several elderly family members pass away in the last four years that always voted Republican plus a few who are in a nursing home now.

Well, I don’t completely understand. All I’ve heard is excuses and finger pointing from those who stayed home, voted for a lesser candidate, voted for themselves, voted for none of the above, whatever. This is not what my Dad, husband, brothers, et al fought for. Stay home? Vote for yourself? When there are kids, to include my nephew, sitting in Afghanistan and Big Sis may be our next Attorney General? NO! You crawl on you rotten knees until they bleed to get to a polling place and you try again and again. And again...until one generation gets it. Until someone understands that the wife of the president’s best friend called us “Mitches” and we’re not allowed to call her anything!!! I’m sick for my family. For those of you who stayed home or voted for yourself, I don’t give a damn about your family. Go ask Obama for help. You’re not Mitches.

“.....but I do understand why they stayed home.”

I sure don’t - not when one considers the drastic consequences that they knew would come.

“if that is the case , they should all be whipped , tarred and feathered . In that order .... They simply have NO RIGHT to sell out our country to socialism and Israel to unsupported war with Iran , all on account of their own small minded peevishness . No right ....damn them all to hell , I hope they get what they now deserve.”

Christian conservatives are the Republican base and they are not going to vote for a liberal and some included being a Mormon in their decision.

Also, Romney, his lawyer, Sununu and the national chairman, at the national convention, passed a rule illegally since it really didn't pass, that cuts out conservatives being elected delegates. Any delegate selected next time, Romney could have thrown out and appointed his own choices. I knew that was the real Romney and I knew at that time, he was not going to win. He grabbed the whole party and dumped the conservative base, including the tea party, and Palin, to boot.

He doesn't own jack now because he dumped Christian conservatives. Stomp on conservatives and they stomp back, which they did.

On the positions, there was not a single difference between the two candidates track record.

Did I say no republican in 75 years has done anything except talk about changing the direction we’re headed in? Yes. Not even Reagan.

Read "The Manchurian President" by Aaron Klein and it will all be made clear to you. OK on Kindle.

You’re blaming the wrong people. If you’re demanding that Boehner be fired from the speaker position, you’re blaming the wrong people. You should still blame the nutcase Obama voters for Romney’s loss, combined with a horrendously incompetent GOP Leadership. Romney, even though he lost, was a brighter light during this campaign, than weepy Boehner will ever be.

I know that RL is not liked at all by s significant minority here and by many people who think they are conservatives. ‘Why he's just a drug addicted blowhard. Not a gentleman at all and not someone i would want to speak at my school or belong to my country club.” Exact quote from an elite educated (Stanford) private school head master who thinks of him self as a Conservative Republican who is not an ‘extremist’.

Limbaugh here demonstrates why I listen all I can and rate him and Levin as the two most insightful conservative commentators. This person is one of the stones in the mosaic titled ‘Republican boobs’ right along with the type i allude to above who are much to dignified and important to really get into a brass knuckle political fight, and the evangelical boobs who bought the ‘vote for a Mormon and your soul is in danger of hell fire bull crap certain preachers pushed.

Unfortunately too many on the right would rather be right in their particular ivory tower than save the country from the evil the left is injecting in it.

Did millions of republicans vote for Romney and the demoRats and computers change it to Obama?

One has to wonder. Turnout at the polling place looked higher than other years.

Quite correct.

Also, keep in mind that all the cool college kids these days are Ron Paul fanatics. Obama is passe'.

Those kids are the future of the party whether anyone wants to admit it or not. Why are we throwing them under the bus constantly? Do we not want to win?
