Man Injured In Giants World Series Victory Celebration Dies

San Francisco police were asking for the public’s help in finding out what happened to a man who died after being injured during a celebration of the Giants’ World Series win in the city’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as 37-year-old San Francisco resident Sean Moffitt, went home after the Oct. 28 celebration and told his roommate he was attacked at about 9:30 p.m. that night in the 1500 block of Haight Street, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said. …

The Haight isn’t far from some of the more dicey neighborhoods in the city. My bet is this guy was the central participant in the Knockout Game.
