Sleep Number stores: This year Sleep Number is offering a couple of discounts. Among these are $600 off on all I8 or M7 beds, 30 percent off all bedding items, and 0 percent interest on 24 months financing. This is only available to military and veterans. World of Coca-Cola, Atlanta GA: Active duty, reserve and retired members of the armed forces receive complimentary admission at the World of Coca-Cola year-round, but on Nov. 10-18 they can purchase up to four tickets at 50 percent off for their friends and family. They also get a 10 percent discount at The Coca-Cola Store there.

Lowes and Home Depot always honors our 10% discount even though he is a veteran now and I am his dependant. We saved over $300 last month on our new carpet install.

• Sheetz convenience stores will serve up a free hot dog lunch to veterans on Monday. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., vets and active-duty personnel will receive two free hot dogs and a 22-oz. fountain drink. Active duty or retired veterans must present a valid military ID card, be in uniform or show other proof of service.

• Walgreens stores are offering veterans and active-duty military discounts of up to 20 percent off their purchases on Sunday. Walgreens store-brand items will be discounted 20 percent while other merchandise will be 15 percent off. Some items are excluded. A valid military ID or proof of service is required.

• Harris Teeter is offering active-duty military personnel and veterans an 11 percent discount on their purchases Sunday. The discount applies after coupons and loyalty card savings, and the offer excludes alcohol, tobacco, tickets and gift cards. A military ID is required.

NASCAR Speedpark: Celebrate Our Heroes event

November 10, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at NASCAR SpeedPark, Myrtle Beach (1820 21st Ave N Ext).
