John Boehner Should Just Get Out Of Obama's Way
American Thinker ^ | 11/09/2012 | Jeannie DeAngelis

Based on the dismal state of the union and after four years of doing exactly what Rush Limbaugh said he hoped that he would do, by any thinking person's standards President Barack Obama has indeed "failed." Yet, despite the catastrophe, on Election Day the American people inexplicably invited the President to spend the next four years beating the dead horse that he killed during his first term.

The next day, after being MIA for months, Speaker of the House John Boehner crawled out of the tanning bed long enough to publicly assure the President that House Republicans plan to work with him on his sole first-term accomplishment - the looming "fiscal cliff."

Wait a minute, wasn't it way back in 2008 that Barack Obama told America that "this is the moment" when good jobs would be provided for the jobless, the rise of the oceans would slow, and the planet would begin to heal? Why then, as America drowns in an ocean of debt and sinks in a sea of unemployment, would the Speaker of the House tell Obama "This is your moment...we want you to succeed?"

SNIP SNIP

if Boehner believes that this is truly Barack Obama's "moment," why not just let the President do whatever he wants? Republicans in Congress should politely step aside and allow Obama to finish what he started. In so doing, they will inoculate themselves against any ensuing liability as well as avoid becoming the object of Obama's notorious blame game.

And so, as conciliatory bipartisanship is cultivated and John Boehner encourages Barack Obama to forge ahead, one can only hope that the newfound collegiality in Washington DC includes Republicans helping our determined liberal leader to aim that big ole' policy gun he has pointed at America's head downward toward his own foot.

Amen to that... get out of his way and make him — and the American electorate — own everything.

And every day... remind them... THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED, REMEMBER???

Wrong. As long as the MSM remains in its current form (which has been unaltered in the past four years, btw), the Republicans and conservatives will be blamed for the failures of the Democratic White House and Senate.

The truth only matters if the MSM reports it.

If the Republicans do anything at all to stand in Obama’s way, they will get the blame for the mess that is surely going to ensue. It will be said that everything would have been wonderful if the GOP hadn’t obstructed to protect their zillionaire buddies.

I'm inclined to agree - the GOP House is being set up to be the Washington Generals to Obama's Globetrotters, the MSM is already referring to them as if their intransigence is the root of all our current problems.

We know they ultimately are not willing to go to the mat, so why serve as Obama's patsy?

In terms of real opposition to Obama's disastrous fiscal policy, that's exactly what he's been doing. Hasn't really worked out too well.

I'll add to that. Go Galt and do as little business as possible with any sector or person who supports Obama. Stop being a serf pulling the overburdened wagon full of looters. If it all collapses, so be it. Don't be exploited by the Marxist.

And the voters will get what they want. The producers will be punished for achievement (voting is the best revenge) and the number of people being able to sit back and have every one of their needs and wants satisfied by uncle Barack will be increased by tens of millions in time for the next election.

I don't think it's going to be just that simple. The media controls the narrative and even if they have video of every Republican in the House sitting in an Adirondack chair in the Bahamas sipping Mai Tais and smoking Cuban cigars, they'd manage to blame them for any problems that arise.

Make no mistake, folks, this election proved to the Liberals that their little experiment in tilting further to the Left not only worked but was embraced. Now that they see how cowed and woefully ignorant are the public, they're going to push that accelerator through the floor to put us over the precipice into a communist dictatorship. The people want it, apparently.

“...John Boehner crawled out of the tanning bed long enough to publicly assure the President...”

soooo hilarious!

I never saw so much boot licking in my life as John Boner on Wed!

Eff him.

One could be reminded of that scene from Blazing Saddles

Picture obama confronting Boehner and the GOP, holding a gun to his own head and demanding: “Pass my tax hikes or the ...... gets it”

uh, OK

If the GOP allows tax hikes on the (rich) small business owners only, you’ll never never never get them reduced again.

It’s got to go up on everyone if there’s ever hope for bringing them down again.

Just like gun control laws, when Republicans step out of the way, the liberals blame the states for lax regulations.

Liberals will not be happy untl they have 100% control over every level of gov’t, industry and society.

Already yesterday, the MSM was reporting
“Republicans agree to TAX INCREASE!”

Not a word blaming Obama or Dems for tax increases!

Government is the new God, really explains it all. I stared at that phrase for a full ten minutes election night, as the results rolled in.

Speaker of the House John Boehner crawled out of the tanning bed

...and he should crawl back in and roast his own A$$.

I'll tell you where he was for the last two months...on an extended bender. They finally cleaned him up, propped him up, and voila....he's back!

Let's face it, Mr.B a useless, pompous, alcoholic country-clubber. I'm serious, ask anyone who knows him personally. Big mistake giving this man "his turn" at the wheel. I'm fed up with GOP RINO's and RNC elites picking complete losers and "giving them their turn" to run the party. Time for big, big change, time for a new third party.

Let's get at it.
