Why Obama Won
American Thinker ^ | Friday, November 9, 2012 | Gary Aminoff

On election night, as the camera panned the audience waiting to hear Barack Obama give his victory speech, I was struck that the audience was primarily young people and minorities. My thought was, "These are the very people who will suffer the most under a second Obama administration. Don't they know they are voting against their own best interest?"

And then I thought about it and came to the conclusion: "They don't." They don't because they are, by and large, uneducated. Oh, some of them may have college degrees or even graduate degrees, but they are still substantially uneducated. I would bet that very few of them know the difference between Keynesian economics and Austrian School economics. I am sure that most of them have never heard of the Laffer Curve. I would guess that most of them aren't familiar with the first principles behind the origin of our country. I doubt that many of them know what evil lies in Socialism or Communism, or unbridled leftism. Or are even aware that Barack Obama is a man of the left, and what that means. They, for the most part, have no idea what the concept of individual liberty is, nor how a big, powerful central government reduces that liberty. I also am pretty sure that they feel that Barack Obama is someone who cares about the poor, women, minorities, and the "middle class," and that Republicans don't. I would stake my substance on the fact that they don't know what is meant by a limited government, or what the Tenth Amendment says. I am certain that most of them don't know anything about Benghazi. Substantially uneducated!

How is it that we have raised one or two generations of uneducated Americans? ... The answer lies in the curricula of our schools.

Even another million Republican votes doesn’t put Romney ahead of McCain, when corrected for population growth.

Disgraceful.

A billion dollar Romney campaign, for what?

Agreed Obama drew worse than 2008, but he’s had 4 years of incompetence to do that.

This is less a Romney problem than a Republican campaign problem.

I have the Documentary Channel on Dish and was able to catch a show called “The War on Kids.” It is astounding! I recommend all FReepers catch it if you get a chance.

Had to vote for their rainbow stew, hat tip to Merle Haggard:
There’s a big, brown cloud in the city,
And the countryside’s a sin.
An’ the price of life is too high to give up,
Gotta come down again.
When the world wide war is over and done,
And the dream of peace comes true.
We’ll all be drinkin’ free bubble-up,
Eatin’ that rainbow stew.
When they find out how to burn water,
And the gasoline car is gone.
When an airplane flies without any fuel,
And the satellite heats our home.
One of these days when the air clears up,
And the sun comes shinin’ through.
We’ll all be drinkin’ free bubble-up,
An’ eatin’ that rainbow stew.

Eatin’ rainbow stew in a silver spoon,
Underneath that sky of blue.
All be drinkin’ free bubble-up,
An’ eatin’ that rainbow stew.

Instrumental break.

You don’t have to get high to get happy,
Just think about what’s in store.
When people start doin’ what they oughta be doin’,
Then they won’t be booin’ no more.
When a President goes through the White House door,
An’ does what he says he’ll do.
We’ll all be drinkin’ free bubble-up,
Eatin’ that rainbow stew.

Eatin’ rainbow stew in a silver spoon,
Underneath that sky of blue.
We’ll all be drinkin’ that free bubble-up,
Eatin’ some rainbow stew.

Eatin’ rainbow stew in a silver spoon,
Underneath that sky of blue.
All be drinkin’ that free bubble-up,
Eatin’ rainbow stew.

McCain, 2008 popular vote: 58,319,442 Romney, 2012 popular vote: 58,163,978 4 years of population growth and Romney didn’t draw what McCain did......

If these #s hold up (there was a piece by Jon Podhoretz that was shared on FR saying that votes trickle in for months)it illustrates what we all knew a year ago - ROMNEY WAS A HORRIBLE CANDIDATE AND IS JUST A FLAT-OUT CREEPY MAN!!! Ann Coulter said it. Most of FR said it and swore they'd never vote for him. Guess what ... some kept the vow.

After a year of paying way too much time focusing on politics, a lot of people were hypnotized. Now, Coulter is literally crying about what a great candidate he was. BS! He's the same phony we always hated. A lot of conservatives stayed home and a lot of regular people just couldn't stand him. It's as simple as that.

I don’t know about uneducated, tho they may be, but what I saw was a screeching crowd of (mostly) young women and minorities, who are unaware of the fiscal hell that is going to be visited upon them.

Personally, I could give a s—t how much they suffer when they are laid off or unable to find a job after college, their 401K plummets, if they have one, and gas, food, electric costs are going to completely wipe out whatever cash they may have - because they voted for it, and they can live (or die) with it.

As for me, I will take care of myself and my own. Obama can take care of his followers. Good thing for our side, however, is that with ‘free’ birth control and abortions, his followers might not be multiplying very fast.

Someone who voted for O, please, please ask me for a handout. I am waiting for the opportunity to laugh in your face(s).

The Republicans in Congress should vote Present like the great lib leader has done his entire life, and let the country and the world see what true liberal leadership looks like.

As for the rest of us, hunker down and pray!

Romney will get 6% or 7% more of the vote than McCain. The population increased but much of that increase is do to immigration, which drives 80% of the population increase.

By 2019--7 years from now--half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG. Each cohort that turns 18 now and in the future will be a greater percentage of minorities, which means more Dem voters. Obama won the 18-29 vote 60%-37% and the 30-44 vote 52%-45%. These groups comprised 46% of the electorate in 2012.

Romney won the 45-64 vote 51% to 47%. Romney won the 65 and over 56%-44%. So Romney's strongest group is also the group that is dying out and the ranks are not being replaced at the 18 and over level each year. Every year that goes by adds more Dems to the voting rolls.

And it worth remembering that 87% of the 1.2 million legal immigrants we bring in each year are minorities. Immigrants and minorities vote two to one for the Dems.

The Rep problem is demographic. By 2042 hon-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the population, down from the current 66% and down from 1980 when they were 89% of the population. Demography is destiny.

I have a daughter in college. She has been asking all her friends why they voted for Obama. All the things we know, they had never heard of (21 new taxes, higher gas prices, Benghazi, etc) They voted for Obama because it’s cool to vote for a black man, gay marriage, and they all believed that Romney would take away their birth control and hated women. Also, an ad was going around that Romney would take away their Pell Grants.

Obama supporters are about to start a four year college education program—they will learn in the school of hard knocks what their votes did. the Blame Bush mantra can last only so long—wait till it hurts them most. I don’t believe Obama has the ability to seize the moment and do a good job. My Predictions:
1. More of the same—Blame and rule by Czar and decree.
2. More Race baiting and class warfare.
3. More bending RINO Republicans to his tax and spend ways.
4. More Borrowing from China.
5. More travel and vacations.
6. More symbolism over real reform.
7. No budget at all for USA—who needs it?
8. Creeping inflation for all prices.
9. More wars overseas and job loss— all blamed on Bush.
10. More long winded speeches.

The immigration rules were changed in the early 60’s to make this demographic change possible. I believe that the elites in both parties came to an unspoken agreement. Democrats wanted the change for more votes. Repubs wanted the change for cheap labor.

I can attribute Obama’s win to 3 very malignant strategies:
Racism, sexism, and classism. The natural result of such electioneering will be disharmony and distrust for years to come. These people are too smart for their own good. They have no idea what long-term damage they have caused.

“They know nothing.
They have probably never read the Declaration.
They have probably never read the Constitution.
They don’t understand what a Republic is.
They have no grasp of the concept of free markets or individual liberty.”

Remember they are informed by the Marxist media, educated by the Marxist school system, entertained by the Marxists in Hollywood. For their entire life they have heard that America was born from genocide and slavery. That it is a greedy oppressor nation that colonizes other nations, kills the poor brown people and steals their resources. All of the founding fathers were racists, rapists and pedophiles. In school they learn that homos are normal, our enemies have just cause to hate and attack us, and that religion is ridiculous. Those messages are reinforced by Hollywood were every religious person, conservative and businessman is evil, greedy and hypocritical. This is the world they are growing up in. Is it any surpize they hate the country and vote the way they do.

“Half of the country are alien to conservatives,...”

And growing rapidly.

The dirty little secret is that evangelicals no-voted rather than legitimize a Mormon whom they consider to be a member of a heretic cult.

Sunnis think the same of Shiites.

The children were taught. I know a wonderful family with 2 children. Those children received Christian educations. The family sacrificed for this, including 4 years at a Christian college for their son. The parents live their values.Church was an integral part of every single day. So was American history, lots of trips, lots of sports, good intellectual conversations. All of this in a small town filled with family and friends. They all lived the American Dream.

The children rejected their parents’ values and openly laugh at them on FB. There are no excuses and no one to blame. These intelligent young people, now in their 30s are proudly Progressive and they openly chose to be so, knowing full well all the arguments against the ideology in theory and in practice.

This is not an isolated example.

Ohio

If all of Huchabee’s voters had voted, Romney carries Ohio.

Romney still loses because Obama got an unexpected 50% of the military vote in Virginia and took Virginia because of that.

Obama’s army also showed up big time in S Florida and Colorado. No stopping them getting a huge turnout of Blacks.

The mores of the sixties, anti-establishment, sex drugs and rock and roll, Woodstock, Haight Ashbury, etc, are the parents of many of the liberals, radical and blind to their own brainwashing. Standards changed, moving away from belief in God Almighty.

We can see the result of/in Europe and socialism ... and we seem to be dumb enough to walk the same path. We will be committing suicide as a nation.

Let us turn aside and return to the foundations of America. Independence, self reliance, freedom of choice, freedom of religion. Freedom to move around and disagree with the powers that be in governmant. To follow the laws and worship our God, in Jesus name amen.

We lived the good life, we still can if we stop walking the path to failure.
