We’re all on the same page then. Let’s base jump from the fiscal cliff.
What I seriously like about it is that EVERYONE gets the pain. I especially like the bottom tax bracket going up about 65%. (The income rate from 10 to 15% and the loss of the payroll tax holiday.) Serves notice that there is no free lunch kids.
Also attractive to me right now is the timing. This will throw the filing season into chaos. Refunds will be significantly delayed. In case you didn’t know, they aren’t really refunds, they are welfare payments in the form of EIC and other credits. Ever wonder why there is a Liberty, Jackson Hewitt or H&R Block office on every corner of the ‘hood? Hmm? Think their returns are that complicated, or that even that many people are required to file returns in the first place in those neighborhoods?
When that big April check don’t show up, that’s when there’s gonna be a rumble down on the block. I love me a good rumble. Much better TV than Happy Days reruns.
Yeah, I agree walk away and enjoy the Christmas break.
Some will talk about the cuts gutting the military. ANYONE seriously think Obama won’t gut the military anyway?
Then for the next increase in the debt ceiling more cuts. Bammy will already have his tax increases, let HIM propose more tax increases.
