Well when we turn away from God into sin we will be on our own and go the way we are heading.

Wow Red—I was just reading this portion of Deuteronomy last night. We choose blessings or cursings. We know the decision last Tuesday night.
Sorry, it is a nutty statement.
I don’t believe G-d curses anyone. G-d loves everyone, even the sinner. G-d does not want the sinner to sin, but it is by the sinners sin that the sinner suffers, not because G-d curses them.
I think people sometimes curse themselves.
And, while we may all suffer from the erors of others (from those who have “cursed themselves”), I do not believe G-d brings collective suffering on the innocent and the guilty; though neither does he prevent every suffering we obtain from the sin or error of others. That’s O.K., if we suffer or not, we know we are His by His grace.

Speaking of Roberts, I think we can pretty much know that his vote on Obamacare is the result of blackmail, similar to today’s news about Petraeus.

God is Divine Love and Divine Wisdom. God does NOT curse -- that is an appearance. He permits evil for the sake of salvation. The spiritual war is on God's Word. That has to be put back into the public discourse as it explains precisely what is going on now.

So, indeed, all the moral decay that we’re seeing IS the wrath of God, it won’t BRING the wrath of God.

Yes. I believe we are seeing the wrath of God. I was criticized by a couple of lib friends when I said I have no sympathy for the devastation in NY & NJ. They’re the people who helped put Obama in his position. They were shocked! “But... but... good people are suffering. Don’t you care?” Nope. Don’t care. God has annihilated an entire nation for the sin of one man. I figure it can be logical for Him to destroy an few boroughs for the sins of many men.

I was always taught that God’s judgement was individual. That there was no collective judgement or punishment. And that God’s judgement is reserved for eternity not our mortal existence.
God not only curses and blesses individually, he also judges collectively.

Yes, "God is love" - He does love everyone and wants all to be saved through His Son, but He hates sin because, in His holiness, He cannot tolerate sin. He will reward those who turn their lives over to His Son with eternal life with Him, but He will send those who do not turn their lives over to His Son into eternal punishment.
That was my first thought as well.
I have a different take - God began to remove His blessing from America well before Obama was elected or re-elected. We, as a nation, have progressively distanced ourselves from God and turned our backs on Him for many years.
- We have banned Him from our schools
- We have tried to eliminate Him from our government
- We are becoming a nation free from religion, instead of one that embraces freedom of religion.
As a result, God has tried to warn us of our neglect for Him, but we have not heard and certainly not heeded. Therefore, and I can't say exactly when, but He began to remove His blessing from America. The result is that we have been attacked on our soil, our economy is in shambles, crime is rampant, and we elected and re-elected a socialist.
No, God is not cursing America for electing or re-electing Obama, Obama's re-election is an on-going part of God's blessing being removed from America such that we are reaping what we have sown!
