I just have to believe that the Chicago thugs knew about this affair before Bambi put Petraeous up for the CIA job. For what reason did they go forward with the nomination? Maybe to blackmail him? I’m guessing the CIA has a lot of dirt in their files on Bambi, maybe not anymore.

What about her husband and children? How much would she have to be paid to betray them? The whole thing really doesn’t make sense to me. But if Obama is involved, it doesn’t surprise me.

I can’t imagine ‘our side’ didn’t think of this before the elections.
They suspected unstoppable massive voter fraud.
So, let it happen and then impeach.

BOOM.

Has anyone posted the drudge newsmax article?

This devastating stuff from the current drudge headline newsmax article:

Still, the White House, with concurrence by the FBI and Justice Department, held off on asking for Petraeus’ resignation until after the election. His resignation occurred three days after the election, avoiding the possibility that Obama’s ill-fated appointment of Petraeus could become an issue in the election.

FBI agents on the case were aware that such a decision had been made to hold off on forcing him out until after the election and were outraged.

“The decision was made to delay the resignation apparently to avoid potential embarrassment to the president before the election,” an FBI source says. “To leave him in such a sensitive position where he was vulnerable to potential blackmail for months compromised our security and is inexcusable.”

I absolutely agree with your scenario. I think what made him decide to admit to adultery was the fact that he was going to have to testify UNDER OATH next week. That was the red line for him .... so he ducked out. If he was truly doing the honorable thing for honor’s sake (as his letter implies), he either would not have betrayed his vows or he would have resigned much earlier. The guy joined a corrupt administration in lying to the American people and he is continuing that dishonesty, even on his way out.

He’ll still have to testify ... maybe he’ll take the 5th. Petraeus better watch his back .... he is still a danger to Obama as I’m sure he knows plenty not only about Benghazi. Let’s hope he’s not so “depressed over this affair” that he ‘decides’ to do something drastic (like the recent Secret Service agent).

Maybe this was the sex scandal drudge was referring to before the election.

Look folks I think there are broader issues here and this may be of concern to any and all Americans. We need to be asking the FBI why they were hacking into, and spying on the General with little to no evidence of criminal wrong doing. Yes, the General was possibly open to blackmail; however, his affair had been terminated years ago and I’m pretty sure during his screening process he had mentioned his affair to the CIA so that they could conduct a background investigation into the woman. The CIA conducts routine full scope polygraphs and this would most certainly come up. Please I ask you all to read the CIA spymaster book about George Kisevalter, he was regarded as one of the best spooks in the business and had an extramarital affair that HE admitted to and brought to the attention of the CIA. THe CIA conducted their own background check on the woman and determined she was not a foreign agent nor a threat so they allowed him to continue his relationship. This isn’t about Patraeus having an affair this is about the FBI being a political tool to spy on it’s supposed enemies or political opponents list. The FBI needs to be put into check and have some sort of bipartisan commission to check and double check it’s operations. They have smeared the good General’s name, and in the process have probably broken surveillance laws without the FISA process being used or going through the courts. Why were they spying on Americans with little to no evidence? Something just doesn’t seem right to me.

If the affair was phony then how does one explain the emails sent after the breakup

Good point. I dunno, possibly there was an affair, but the reason for the sudden resignation was the embarrassing CIA leaks in the last month or so.
I suspect that the emails are part of the cover story.

"What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization".

It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism."

I’m sickened by all the events that have been withheld from the American people ‘until after the election.’ This is fraud.

Iran fires on a US drone on Nov. 1 - but we just found out this week - after the election.
Libya hearings - after the election.
CIA Director resigns - after the election.

If Petraeus resigned even last week, Romney would have won. And Obama knows this.

The legal prohibition on what he can reveal about CIA does not apply to testimony before Congress or any court in the U.S.

Then it would be Petraeus' obligation to tell it all at the hearing.

It either means they didn’t vet him, or he mislead them during the vetting process.

OR it is not true OR they knew but it was something to use against him when needed.

Remember we have a DESTROYER in chief sitting in our house and a lying media - only tells what is allow.

His affair was with obama when he agreed to take the director's job. NEVER align yourself to EVIL. Whatever good obama touches he destroys. That's the destroyer's job!

Yes. That was to see - first off - if they have someone truthful here.

Next time say 'yes' but it was bush's or Patreaus's fault. Works for the POS commie, community leader low life! I bet they would be honored to give the destroyer a job.

"A classic Honey Trap Operation?"

I don't think so- they were out in the open moreso than has been reported and the wimpy husband wrote that 'Busted!' letter to the NYT.

This looks more like an average affair, a weak woman powering-tripping on a RINO douchebag.

Timing of the book, on the other hand, is everything hinky.
