The quoted story from Duffeelbag is the fake satire used by Snopes.com, Huffington Post, et al to deceive conservatives and hold them up to public ridicule and thereby cause the public to ignore the dozens of real news tories about real suppression of the military absentee ballots. I started to make a list, but I ran out of time after the first couple of dozen. Someone with more time can do the search engines lookups using “military ballots” “2012” as search terms. There are a large number of news stories about ballots being mailed too late in such places as Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, virginia, Florida, Nevada, and more. There are stories about the military cargo aircraft crash and burn at Shindad AB. There are the stories about Republican Senators calling for an investigation about the military ballots not being delivered early enough before the election closed.
The two stories I’ve seen this time around:
Florida. West election county. 192% turnout.
Philly. 99% Obama vote precints. Turnout was 30 points higher than state average.
Chasing fraud sadly is usually a waste of time. Tough to prove. Public just wars to move on.
Thanks for debunking. Will relay that info along.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t there an article on CoachIsRight that had a link to the duffleblog site “article” ?
Seems a lot of folks got snared by that duffleblog piece.
With 10,000 people getting layoff notices this week as a result of the 0 getting “elected”, I’m not too much in the mood for satire masquerading as reality.
