Hispanics To Obama: We Helped You, Now You Help Us
By James Eng Hispanic voters, who were instrumental in putting Barack Obama back in the White House, now hope the president will work diligently in his second term to cross some big to-dos off their legislative wish list: jobs, affordable education, health care access and immigration reform.
Hispanics voted for Obama over Mitt Romney by a resounding 71 percent to 27 percent and may have put him over the top in several key swing states. The total number of potential Hispanic voters this year reached a record 23.7 million – up about 80 percent since 2000 – and Hispanics now compose about 10 percent of the total electorate, according to the Pew Hispanic Center.
“The Latino electorate arrived Tuesday, there’s no question about it,” said Rafael Collazo, director of political campaigns for the National Council of La Raza. The organization, which bills itself as the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, says it helped register more than 90,000 new Hispanic voters this year.
“States like Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Pennsylvania, even Ohio -- the Latino vote was a net gain for the preferred candidate and was the deciding factor or at least very, very close to being the decisive factor,” Collazo told NBC News.
"The Latino giant is wide awake, cranky and is taking names,” labor leader Eliseo Medina, of the Service Employees International Union, told NBC Latino.

Keep an eye on this. For decades blacks have been the coddled minority in the Democratic Party. Now Latinos are speaking up and demanding their fair share. There’s only so much of the pie for Democrats to spread around; we could see Latinos and Blacks in open warfare over the next four years. Fire up the popcorn!

And all the pandering, mewling cowards in the GOP are desperately trying to convince us that we need to pander more.
You know, this kind of crap makes me physically ill. We are supposed to be one country and one people, not a collection of different lobby groups, separately begging for goodies from the federal pig trough.
This pandering to special interest groups needs to be ripped out by the roots. (And I know it, you don’t need to tell me: it will never happen in my lifetime. Unless the country is razed and rebuilt from the basement up....)
They are already in open warfare between adjoining neighborhoods and the hispanics recognize the value in genocide for their future.

Rush had an idea that just might work, though I wish we didn't have to take this route:
Amnesty, with a signed, legal agreement that says illegals who are given amnesty cannot vote for 25 years, and stiff penalties for those who do (maybe a few years in prison).
This would guarantee that this is not a political move. This is a compassionate move, like the liberals claim it's suppose to be. Doing it this way would prove the motives are NOT political, and the illegals would NOT be beholden to any political party in general afterwords.
The left would never go along with it, though. It's not the illegals or their plight the left is really interested in. It's their votes, and ONLY their votes that really matter.
So, it would never work, but trying it would expose the liberals for who they really are and what they really value.

That may very well come true.
The so-called Hispanic ‘leaders’ are Marxists who desire the destruction of the United States. Pandering is how government and business is regularly done south of the border. This leads to balkanization of the nation and hateful grudges. Thus the United States can be ripped apart from the inside.
The meme of how these are decent, hard working people just looking to improove their family’s lot in life is machine gunned to shreds by these kinds of demands.
Fortunately my congressman has already confirmed for me that I can continue count on his “No” vote on amnesty.

I grew up in SOCAL and have friends whose parents or ancestors came from Mexico. Hispanics are not monolithic in their political beliefs but today find themselves being sandbagged by Hispanic activists who are nothing more than Marxist thugs.

This needs to be handled with finesse, but it may yet help the Left snatch what they really deserve, from their apparent triumph over history, reason & human decency.
