Outgoing CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus’ resignation over an extramarital affair was reportedly held until after Tuesday’s election to avoid “potential embarrassment” for President Barack Obama, according to Newsmax.
FBI agents learned of the affair while monitoring Petraeus’ emails out of concern that the woman, Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell, may have had access to his personal account, the Associated Press reported.
But an FBI source told Ronald Kessler, the author and journalist who broke the Secret Service prostitution scandal, that rather than having Petraeus resign immediately, the decision was made to hold it until after the election for political purposes:
[T]he White House, with concurrence by the FBI and Justice Department, held off on asking for Petraeus’ resignation until after the election. His resignation occurred three days after the election, avoiding the possibility that Obama’s ill-fated appointment of Petraeus could become an issue in the election.
FBI agents on the case were aware that such a decision had been made to hold off on forcing him out until after the election and were outraged.
“The decision was made to delay the resignation apparently to avoid potential embarrassment to the president before the election,” an FBI source says. “To leave him in such a sensitive position where he was vulnerable to potential blackmail for months compromised our security and is inexcusable.”

I never thought I’d see the day—but there is a right-wing, conservative news organization here in Canada—Sun News. Brian Lilley, Ezra Levant and many others. Like Mark Steyn, Ezra was the target of a human rights commission investigation.
It is amazing to me that Canada’s prime minister, Stephen Harper, is more conservative than our current American president. How the tables have turned...

BTW... Just in case you have missed it, Petraeus has a nickname.... it’s “Peaches”. LOL
That came from Broadwell in an interview and I think it’s in her book.
What a sucky birthday for poor Paula. She turned 40 on November 9th, the day the SHTF. Plus, Petraeus turned 60 (ewww) on Wednesday.
So Paula went from being class valedictorian, a basketball star, and homecoming queen in high school....to West Point where she also excelled....to earning several advanced degrees...to marrying a freaking doctor and having 2 little boys....AKA a perfect life. And she threw it all away to have sex with a toady-looking guy old enough to be her father. Mind is boggled.
She reminds me of that bat-sh!t crazy astronaut a few years back....accomplished, successful, and attractive, yet reckless and unstable.
Bill Clinton was the first black President and we impeached him. Obama is only half black.

So... why wasn’t Petraus’ security clearance revoked immediately upon learning this information by the “Chumpmander In Chief?” Oh, I see, it wasn’t revoked for political reasons. There is nothing that possibly could have been compromised for those few days.
Because the Chicago thugs held this info and used it as leverage
so Betrayus would toe the party line about the video lies. After the election
the Chicago exposed this, knowing the story would then turn to sex,
instead of the abandonment, death and coverup in Bengazi.
Sure, the MSM is covering the sex angle to the story and that’s all.

The article suggests a very nebulous timeline.

Months. Who knew what and when? The letter published months ago in the New York Times suggesting an affair between a very high ranking official may have been from someone besides the husband, just trying to send a message. Was Obama holding this as a playing card, waiting to use it only when needed. He needed it before potential testimony regarding Libya, but couldn’t use it until after the election.
The stench coming from this Whitehouse is overwhelming.

It would have been a lot funnier if they hadn't inverted Petraus' picture... that chest of medals is on the wrong side of his chest and his name is sorta backwards!
