The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.
LOL.... this is the second state to do this. I would love for this to spread across the entire country.

So far it’s been signed by 393 people, which - even if all are actually from Texas - is still a bit short of a majority of Texas’ roughly 25,750,000 citizens.
This isn’t “Texas” - it’s a bunch of self-important clowns who imagine that that they speak on behalf of the actual Texas.

Here in Michigan we could make a go of it, we do have a lot of, ahem, people of color. If we could get those folks to move to , say, Chicago, we could make it work!!!
