President Obama tonight said hes interested in seeing an assault weapons ban reintroduced, breaking his silence on the legislation, which has persisted in spite of at least five mass shootings during his term.

I don’t look for congress to allow major gun legislation. I do expect Obama to use his regulatory agencies to go after gun owners in every way possible.
Simple, every gun is an assault on the common decency of the left. Therefore, all guns are assault weapons.
Q. If you commit an assault with a baseball bat, is the bat now an assault weapon?
Oh, we’re already screwed on gun control even with the Rebpublicans holding the House. The UN Small Arms Treaty basically does this and it only requires the Senate to approve it. He has the votes to do it. The House has no say.
Time to pull the eject handle.
F U B O
COME AND TAKE IT!!!
I encourage everyone to read the Enemies, Foreign and Domestic trilogy by FreeRepublic’s very own Travis McGee aka Matthew Bracken. I have read it twice and am starting my third reading of it.
I did and dragged my entire family and everyone I knew to the polls - but I live in NYS so its merely a protest vote.
When was the last time they passed an anti-gun law and didn’t exempt their government goons?
In the past, they needed both houses and enough politicians who thought gun control was a good idea. The difference is that this time by they have the UN Small Arms Treaty - they only need 34 votes in the Senate and the President.
The local gun store was packed yesterday. Prices haven’t gone up yet.
Yup - Obama and his gang of thugs and communists are racing the Small Arms Treaty through at the U.N.
That ghetto creep and his cabal of communists and traitors at 1600 PA Ave. still have a lot of promises to fulfill to donors that they did not do ni the first term.
The House has no say, true. BUT it takes 2/3 of the Senate to ratify a treaty.
So long as 34 (of 45) Republican Senators stand pat, the Small Arms Treaty is doomed. And I'm less than sure that all 55 Democrats will support it, either.
Same here today. People were buying armloads of ammo and the AR section of the gun area was packed. I’d like to own an AR but am not going to buy it new because of the registration issues.
Nice try Barry. We still have the majority in the Congress.
Not gonna happen.
If it even looks like it might I’ll get a few so called scary weapons in advance.
News is almost a month old. Definitely not breaking.
Here’s the work around:
My belief is that, (A), we have to enforce the laws weve already got, make sure that were keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, those who are mentally ill. Weve done a much better job in terms of background checks, but weve got more to do when it comes to enforcement.”
They’ll just make you a mental misfit and voila’! You can’t own a gun.
I don’t trust anybody anymore.
Boehner is flopping all over the place like a fish out of water to give O-THUG what he wants. I predict Boehner will follow Christie Creme’s little lovefest with O-THUg shortly.
The Supremes would never, ever let this happen.
In fact, just wait until Chief Justice John Roberts gets a chance to ... oh, wait a minute...
You didn’t need a binoculars to see this coming.
I lost all of my weapons in the big duck hunting incident.
Guns? What guns?
This article is from Oct 16th. Not that that makes it any less of a threat to American freedom & liberty.
DiFi is working on something from what I am reading and this Small Arms Treaty looks like BAD NEWS
Funny and Romney did not make it a huge issue in the last three weeks of the campaign to actually get people fired up.
