Very true, but with the Chicago Tribune article I just posted, Obama spent less than 1 hour involved in this serious situation. Panetta was back at the Pentagon by 6 pm.

The point is, Obama SHOULD have been in the situation room. A consulate is considered American soil, an Ambassador has diplomatic immunity, so in essence our country was UNDER ATTACK. If that does not call for a trip to the situation room, I do not know what does.

The minute that Panetta heard the consulate was under attack........ALL HANDS ON DECK, and the #1 hand is the President of the United States, should have been in that situation room.......NOT 50 minutes after the fact???

Obama makes a phone call to the one person in this world he hates more than anyone, and he talks for an hour????????????

Not excusing Panetta, yet can you imagine the panic he was under being left to make decisions he knew he had no authority to make?.......if this is all true..
