Dear Republican Congress, Give Obama and His Boys Everything They Want
Townhall.com ^ | November 11, 2012 | Doug Giles

Posted on 11/11/2012 2:03:56 AM PST by Kaslin

A cigar aficionado and amigo of mine named Irwin penned a note to the Republican Congress the night after Obama got elected for four more years of this slop, and I thought I’d pass it on to you. Check it out ...

Dear Republican Congress,

As a conservative Republican I am begging you to give president Obama and those who voted for him everything they want.

They want higher taxes on the rich and companies. Give it to them.

They want higher capital gains taxes that will hurt their investments. Give it to them.

They want a system that will make Medicare insolvent by 2024 and Social Security insolvent soon after that. Give it to them.

They want policies that will lead to constant double-digit unemployment rates for minorities and young people. Give it to them.

They want an educational system that entraps the poor in failing schools. Give it to them.

They want higher energy prices. Give it to them.

They want to spend trillions of dollars fighting global warming while China and India continue to tap oil and coal. Give it to them.

They want 20 trillion dollars plus in debt. Give it to them.

They want the Obamacare penalties to kick in next year. Give it to them.

They want a larger, more powerful Washington DC. Give it to them.

They want a more secular society that is increasingly hostile toward religion. Give it to them.

They want a more “fair” society run by bureaucrats. Give it to them.

They want socialist cronyism. Give it to them.

They want to go down the road of Europe. Give it to them.

In addition to the aforementioned, I say that we legalize weed from sea to shining sea. Wait ... not just weed but acid. Think of how creative everyone could be and how it would distort the Obama voters’ reality from the truly sucky conditions his policies have created. That’s what you call a bona fide two-fer, folks. You’re welcome.

Oh, and we mustn’t forget cocaine and heroin legalization. And bath salts! How could I forget bath salts? Bath salts help spice things up during an unemployed weekend! Calgon’s calling. Nothing like dumping drugs into a culture of entitlement. I can’t imagine that going south.

Yes, I join with my friend Irwin and say that we give it to them and find out once and for all who is right. If we are right, they will have no one to blame but themselves, and maybe we will finally get true change in this country and in the Republican party so that we have a real choice in the years to come.

If we are wrong, then so be it. I will gladly repent of my evil conservative ways and become a socialist … I mean Democrat.

Townhall is out of its mind.

Just one thing ... let them have the internet ...

How does THAT grab ya ?

I have no numbers, but I'll guess we're about 50 / 50 split .. those that work away from home and those that stay home.

I honestly don't know where I'd go if FR was taken down or over.

I'd feel intellectually starved and what's left of my mind would atrophy in a day or two

Take away the internet and lock in control of the money ...,

Now THERE'S a combination for ya' ...

I can't buy more coffe and I can't get on FR.

I wonder what lead tastes like?

This "let them have everything" thread has been around here a couple of times and in my opinion ... we don't need the thought ptocess.

That’s because you know what will come of it. The socialist elites live in la-la land and really don’t know. Some of them were truly baffled by what happened in Benghazi (but others knew exactly what would happen and just acted stupid).

Makes no nevermind.

I would be inclined to agree IF the blame could be laid on Dear Leader and the Demo-Rats.

The Repulbli-Tards could give the RATS all of the above and when we turned into Greece with unemployment hovering around 12-14%, in a depression, $20 Trillion in debt, illegal aliens hovering around 20 million, property values in the tank, death panels, etc. (probably within 2-3 years) they will STILL (aided and abetted by their corrupt, biased media) blame it all on BOOSH...and worse yet, get away with it.

So we vote for over the cliff and into the abyss knowing the answer to the question, “no matter what “we” do “we” will be blamed”, so by God it is past time to do the right thing, and stand tall doing it.

Hey then don’t complain when Boehner follows your advice.

I understand the point he is making. The reps are in a no win situation. If they try to block O’s plans, they will be obstructionists. Because things are going downhill quickly, the accusation will be they are responsible because they didn’t give O’s plans an opportunity.

If they give O what he wants, they will be blamed by everyone for not stopping the mess we will be in.

They’ll still blame Republicans. Or ATM’s.

Like Boehner and Mitchel aren't going to give the Democrats everything they want!

They will huff and puff for the GOP voters, but in the end the Democrats will get what they want, the GOP leadership doesn't want to be considered 'mean'.

It’s just a ridiculous idea. The Democrats would drive us as far into debt as humanly possible and then institute a 75% income tax and 50% VAT tax. Everyone would “learn their lesson” but the entire economy and our standard of living would be destroyed forever. It’s not even funny to joke about giving the Democrats everything they want.

Let’s make a deal. Bet the farm. Give them their budget deal if they give us the truth about Benghazi. They stonewall, we stonewall. Draw a line, stand firm. Even drag Romney back out and question him about what he knows and why he really went silent about it. At least we’ll gain some political ammunition to counter their crap.

Benghazi is the soft spot. Rip it open come what may.

We dont have a Republican congress, we have a Republican house. The senate is, and has been since jan’07, when all our current economic woes began, dim-0.

People do not want anything cut. They want all the bailouts to come. They want the Fed to keep printing money. They do not believe we of gone off the cliff or are close to going off the cliff. They think we can patch it over, that we can somehow come up with a magic solution. You cannot have a budgetary solution if you do not change what the role of government should be. As long as you think we have to please the world and run this welfare state, all we will argue about is who will get the loot. “

Ron Paul

bookmarking here Kaslin. We're heading toward it anyway, (imho). Sometimes, and I think this is what the author intended, one person or all the people have to loose a great battle to win the war. We are now embroiled in a great war, a war where Conservatives are losing due to lack of common sense from and by half of our people. To turn things around, one must continue to fight, but tactics must change, is what I perceive the author to be saying.

How sweet the thought but we all know that the electorate's remedy for failed socialism is not conservative reform but more socialism.

I agree.

Without Allende, there would have been no Pinochet.

We cannot afford to go back and forth with these idiot Commies who are burying us with incrementalism. Let's bring it all down, go Galt.
Our once proud cities have already mostly been destroyed despite our desperat fighting, time to fan the flames and wait for the reconstruction after it's over.
