I’m surprised one of the officers didn’t ask the “hater” for his ID and advise that they would be around to see him. That will be coming soon as we get further into the second term.
This is an indication for people who think the cops won’t enforce a gun ban/confiscation/round up of “anti-gov’t terrorists”

I agree. I hate when conservatives bitch about stupid stuff like this. This is PRECISELY why the public thinks that Republicans are nasty creatures. It looks to me that they were being polite and carried one bag. Big woop. We will lose again and again if we continue this stupid path. 2 lost elections just might not be enough for Republicans to wake up.
Rather than a public confrontation, I think I would have taken notes, and referred the incident to higher authority, like maybe the Sheriff or the county commission.
Hard to have a snappy comeback to “don’t be a hater”. The children are now in charge. Reminds me of all the times mr halfjackass has used the word fair, to appeal to his children/constituents.
For normal people, fairness is understood by about the age of ten or younger as a nonexistent state of life, and if you are going to look like someone who never grew up just throw out “that’s not fair” to appeal to the unicorn class.
Anything for power and anything to stop anyone from trying to take that power from them.
Slowly but surely they will set up “reeducation” camps.

You are tasked with guarding a public figure and you disable/slow down your response to a threat by carrying their bag? Very bad security.
Kind of disappointed that some here are just shrugging this off. Why TF should sworn officers be the personal valets for politicians? That’s OK for some of you? I live in Broward County. I know the author of the tweet. I know lots of BSO personnel, and of course, I know a lot about DWS. Sharon Day is a dedicated workhorse conservative. DWS is a POS. And about 95% of Broward Sheriff deputies are scum. Their motto should be: “To protect (our pensions) and to serve (our union and Democrat party).” I salute Sharon for her bravery in confronteing this trash.
What were you expecting? Watergate? This article is an excellent snapshot of where things are right now.. and we aren’t in a good place.
While your comments are valid, I think it’s also valid to say that a gentleman would have offered to carry her bags anyway. The real question is why were they there to greet her. Given that she is a close friend of Gabby Giffords, who of course was shot in a public parking lot, and she most likely knows how much she is despised in much of this country, she may well a police escort whenever she is home. While I personally wouldn’t pee on Wasserman Schultz if she was on fire, I can’t get real worked up about this event.
